took me like 5k to get rune, then i got 1 like every 300. I have 17 =)

Defenders are very powerful, and they free (or nearly free) Of course theyre gonna be a rare drop. Also, they give very good attack bonuses

It takes me aagggeesss to get just a steel Defender.

it does take a while, but its completely worth it

Got a rune defender on my main with relative ease but I have used over 10 [bleep]ing k tokens and still havn't got an iron defender on my pure.

You realize this post was made before February. So, that guy only posted to reply to the original poster. Try looking at the date of the first post. If it says February, use your damned common sense. Oh, gee, the boards just crashed and every post from the last 3/4 months was lost. The last post date was in February, gee, what a coincidence...

I took the time to get them, until I saw that obby shield is better. I never used another defender since I picked that shield up.

Answering to the rant part of your post:

 

 

 

The reason defenders can take so long to get, is because pretty powerful, adding (I think) a few extra to your max hit, although it may just be one for rune, I'm not sure I haven't played in awhile. But yeah, and the fact that they cost virtually nothing adds to it as well.

Edit: And now that I looked at the posts above me I'm slapping myself in the head for not realizing this was an old post.

i got my defenders fairly asy lol.. took me like 1.5k tokens to get bronse.. then like another 3k till iron... bout 600 to steel.. then about 10 mins to black, 3 kills after mith, 12 kills later addy, 2 kills later rune lmao. almost gave up at start but glad i didnt :) got like 20 now lol.. great for pking

bronze defender takes the mickey, it took me like 6k tokens to finally get one, im trying to get black defender now, and ring of wealth really helps :

Obby shield isnt better, offence is a lot better then defence in rs, and rune defender has a lot more offensive capabilities then an obby shield.

Guess I should feel lucky for going from no defenders to seven rune in under 1,500 tokens, huh?
