July 6, 200818 yr As I said before the roll-back, to piss pure molten gold, that would take pissing your name on the wall to a whole new level  Ouch man, to get molten gold it needs to be heated to like 1000°C +. That would hurt! :x My penis would have a heat proof layer applied to it, huzzah!@!@!

July 7, 200818 yr Wheres the fun in being a plain old Chronomancer? Remember, changing one thing could have dire consequences(sp?). Ah, but it wouldn't. Because for time/history to be in the place it is now, it would have relied on you travelling backwards in time and doing whatever you did... I think. sleep like dead men wake up like dead men

Really, it just helps to confuse. I suppose all these things where it says you change something in the past, it changes to present is wrong, as you were always in the past to do that thing. So would it actually be possible to change the past? Or would your actions cause that which you were trying to prevent? Denizen of Darkness| PSN= sworddude198

July 7, 200818 yr There's two ways to think about it, and no way to know which is right. It's probably the "nothing can be changed" theory, because think about it; we send a guy in a time machine, he screws up the past and comes back to an alternate present....what happens to us? We wouldn't suddenly end, because the change took place perhaps millions of years ago, why wait until that moment to change? Command the Murderous Chalices! Maybe we'd all just like... freeze in place, until someone from the alt. timeline screws theirs up and hopefully (0.00000001% chance, probably) starts ours up again. Or that guy fixes it. Though we probably wouldn't feel anything. sleep like dead men wake up like dead men

July 7, 200818 yr It's this kind of thing that makes me want to travel back and just see if I can screw it all up. But you wouldn't be able to see... if you go back (Highly improbable, considering the number of splinter timelines, frozen timelines, etc) you'd just be frozen as well, and you'd be ultra-screwed, because when (if) someone did, you'd just go on like nothing happened. sleep like dead men wake up like dead men
July 7, 200818 yr Sure I can't see the results, but I would be able to tell if things were messed up. Let's say, for instance, the assassination of Abraham Lincoln. If I were able to halt it/delay it/do it myself, I would know something in history changed and the future would thus be different. Perhaps not majorly different, but different nontheless. And I would be going backwards in our own timeline, and then creating a new one, so I don't see why I would be frozen....I may cease to exist afterwards, yes, or I would just live on in that timeline until I died, unable to go back to where I originated. July 7, 200818 yr one of these: 1. gravity (i squish bugs and opponents) and i can fly 2. super speed. 3. Ability to draw things into another dimention or 4. ability to turn my or anyone else's fat into a projectile (sick, but cool, but im already running low) Ok... Im not that good. But I have an anchor!!!

July 7, 200818 yr ^^ you should wish for the ability to unfreeze time too :P I would want the ability to see things in slow motion and for my body to function normally relative to me. Basically, its more like super time perception with my body being able to keep up with it

Yea, you would all be fine, since this timeline is established and undeviating. I would never be able to come back to this timeline, though, since I created a new at the branching point of Lincoln's assassination. But you would never know that, the only person who would know of any other possible outcome of the assassination and the ensuing events would be myself. I don't think I would disappear like in "Back to the Future", either, since that timeline still exists, but I made a new one. Make sense? Command the Murderous Chalices! July 8, 200818 yr I don't think I would disappear like in "Back to the Future", either, since that timeline still exists, but I made a new one. Make sense? You wouldn't. History would have established you being there. Therefore, you would still exsist. However, say fate is real. We stop an action, it'll just happen again. For an alternate timeline though... Things could change, your parents could never meet. However, since time has established you being there, you cannot disappear, relatives could, but not you, as you exsisted in this new timeline. July 8, 200818 yr I have a question that's been bugging me for ages about the time travel thing. If you decided to travel back in time, wouldn't your life end there? Because you would progress forward in time to the point were you travelled back, in in infinite loop, right? Or maybe I'm missing something... In any case, I think metamorphosis would be epic. Being able to change everything from hair color to body shape, and being able to manipulate yourself to fit in any situation would be awesome. There's very little you couldn't do with it. Something else I've always wanted is artistic ability. I would absolutely love to be able to draw anything I wanted, make it look realistic, and be able to make a living off of it. You can read all the tutorials in the world and still never be able to create something truly magnificent, because being able to do great art is something I believe is inherited, not taught (although teaching can hone the skills, something needs to be there to start). [hide=Funny Quotes]So you sucker punched a kid in the back of the head? Because you would progress forward in time to the point were you travelled back, in in infinite loop, right? Or maybe I'm missing something... You wouldn;t keep repeating your same actions, so no, you wouldn't go in an infinite loop. Basically there would be two yous if you traveled back to a time when you were still alive. the first, earlier, you would go about life as usual until she got to the point where you traveled back. Then you would go back pretty much as someone else, but you. Not inhabiting your body in the past, like a clone or a twin. But older. Command the Murderous Chalices! July 8, 200818 yr If you travelled back in time, to a point you exsisted, the timeline would acknowledge two of you. If we assume fate is real, then you were always going to be there. Your actions would have already taken place, meaning you were fated to do that, and as such, you have helped to set history as you know it. Therefore, I submit that we cannot change history, rather we would help set it as we know it. If someone went back in time to try change something, they wouldn't. We wouldn't know a change in history, because time has known that event to happen. I suppose that has only been summed up once, if you read Harry Potter and the Prisoner of Azkaban, you'll understand alot easier. [hide=spolier]The part at the end where Harry has saved himself etc... from the Dementors when he time travelled. Nothing else I know of has grasped this concept, and thinks that it is indeed possible for you to change the past. So if you died in the past, you would still be born, only to go back in time, and die there.[/hide] Denizen of Darkness| PSN= sworddude198
