After a long 3 days, the forums are finally back up and running, albeit with a new look and major changes. 3 months of hard work down the drain, many guides and great topics lost. While many of us spend a majority of our playing time looking through the forums for how to slay certain monsters, or how to make that extra 100k, for a few days we were forced to give up our beloved forum.tip.it!

 

 

 

What alternatives did you use while it was down, and are you glad your favorite forum is back up and running?

 

 

 

I know I had troubles, as I always look through General while playing. It's a lot more interesting than in-game chat! Stooping as low as visiting other sites is what I was forced to do in those times of peril!

 

 

 

Also, could you survive without tif?

Yeah, we now have our forum back, that's good.

 

We had a 3-month rollback. That's bad.

Well it wasn't too hard to live without the forums imo, but i did miss the picture sticky thread and blogscape. I'm happy it's back now with a brand new skin which looks pretty hawt (smilies r no work) =)

We have our new forum, that's good at least.....in the meanwhile, let's...umm......remake our blogs?

I can assure you i'm sure fixin a few forum issues will be in the works, but for now i think the crew and admin deserve a big round of applause for setting this up in such a short time frame. Remember to post all suggestions here to make it easier for problems to be resolved.

I'm just happy to have the forum back. We'll recover I'm sure! :)

Also - to do with the "problems" with the forum - The release of these "improved" forums was not planned for this time and thus we couldn't really get any feedback on what needs changing etc.

We'll be working on the layout based on user feedback - also there'll probably be more themes some time soon - however I can not guarantee that. As I said in my previous post we upgraded to phpBB3 sooner than we'd like to and thus haven't set everything like we'd have liked to.

I'm loving the new forum. It looks great! Also, I don't mind about the 3 month roll back, sure it would be great without it, but thats life.

Very glad it's back though.

A 3 month rollback is devestating to say the least. Many of you don't know the amount of information lost by the staff, and they have done a great job getting us this far. They have been doing lots and lots of work, sure the forums are a little hard to navigate through, but in time they will get better.

I tried to read RSOF when TIF was down, it actually wasn't that bad =P Tip.It still rules =D

 

I really hope the skin is going to be different when the "fixing" is done =D

i had no problem with the forums being down. i wanted to lurk but whatever, i was fine without it. now that they are up i just wish that they would be completely viewable, all in due time i suppose. it's still kind of annoying to not be able to look at topics to see what i need to back up and everything.
