Real life deaths

Featured Replies

Occasionally, you may hear about a member dying in real life. Whenever I hear about them, I always think, "The clan community? How can we die?" But I have to remember, that like you & I, we're all human & therefore mortal.

I have had to deal with a death in my clan. The member was fairly new (about a month in the clan), & one of the members new the guy in real life. We knew we couldn't bring him back, so we held a sort of funeral at the Chaos Altar in the old Wilderness. We dedicated the entire event to him, giving speeches, saying our last words...

What about you? Have you halted clan life to grieve for another?

A member of MD - and a poster on tif - died.

Geordiequeen.

A brilliant player that i was always remember.

It happens, but its always a shock when it does. Can't think of any better way to sum it up.

I don't think there has been any deaths in my clan during my time there. However, there would be a very large amount of sadness if something like that occured.

There has been a death in my clan, it was the neffew of the leader. Due all unfortunate mistakes in the hospital (unnecessary surgeries etc.) he at last died. He's now mentioned as Our Heart on the memberlist. He was, in my opinion, a very good pker. He was just 15, far too young to die.

There has never been a death in a clan I have been in, but our allies cXs has one of their leaders/Councillors die at one point.

It was sad to hear.

Yeah, I remember that. Sort of a shock really. Never really believed it until I saw the evidence... Felt really bad after that.

It's always a shame when someone young dies, specially if they'r in your clan. I don't think it ever happened in my clan (well, atleast not to my knowledge), but I can see that it wouldn't be the happiest day in the clan's history :(

I've never experienced an in clan death but about two years ago a member in ges posted a fake sucide post. I know it effected our clan because we were a tight clan. It didn't effect us for long though because that member showed up at the event that evening.

I remember geordiequeen, that was sad, she wasn't in my clan but I was pretty close to her in game.

I've never experienced someone die within my clan, but I'd be heart broken to hear, and then to deal with it. I really don't know how I'd react to it, I've only heard of people dying through others, who I've not known.

I'd dedicate something to them though if they were in the clan, more than just an event though.

It's really depressing to think about...

As the person above me has already said, if someone who was such a big part of your clan and your runescape life you need to remember them, and the times you had together.

For example Geordiequeen and the other member you probably got to know very well, you probably knew their personality. What made them so special in your clan, what made them good friends and amazing players. Their personality, the way they approached the game? You have to use what you know about them and celebrate what they brought to the clan in an everlasting way.

I still think the guy is lucky we didn't ban him on the spot.(even though everyone n the clan gets along with him)

Also, I remember Geordie as well, that was very sad, even though I was very close to her.

I shall take my flock underneath my own wing, and kick them right the [bleep] out of the tree. If they were meant to fly, they won't break their necks on the concrete.
So, what is 1.111... equal to?

10/9.

Please don't continue.

In Rs, I never did met anyeone who died irl but I did have rs friends who went through hard ordeals, such as breaking your knee and loosing your college scholarship for it, or having your grannie die, etc.

It's a shame you can't respawn irl. Life sucks in that way.

Never happened to me but I guess it would be appeasing to give them somewhat of a goodbye in Runescape, you know, together. You're not a clan to grieve by yourself ;)

Speaking of this topic Its soon geordiequeens birthday and myself and my good friend Nighthawk890 (dogman11817 or something like that on these forums) will be holding an event to remeber her by anyone who knew her please contact me for the details
