I was on some community payload map-Frontier maybe-and I was using the huntsman. I tried to spycheck a pyro that came running past me, missed him entirely, and pinned a cloaked spy to the wall only a few feet away. I laughed so hard. I had a pretty nice run as a sniper with the hunstman earlier today, but I had to leave before the round was over. Might post the pic later. Had some sweet burning arrow kills. Also, what does it mean in the kill indicator for what appears to be a backstab but is a flaming arrow? Not a headshot I don't think, or a regular firearrow kill, it looks a lot like a backstab. that's on fire. Command the Murderous Chalices! My team was beaten all the way to the final cap point, but we survived that round and ended up pushing Red all the way to theirs and winning the match. It was the second most epic comeback I've been a part of. The first being stopping and pushing back the payload from practically 1 foot away from the end of Badwater and winning. I was playing on my regular server (which has all talk on) and we were on dustbowl. So anyways the first two maps of dustbowl my team gets stomped on. We get to the third map and they easily cap the 1st point, and the timer goes up to like 35+ minutes. Well we get pushed back a bit but, in a stroke of magnificence, manage to push back nearly to their spawn! (partly due to my awesome kritzreig rockets destroying everything in sight). So we're pushed back at the first point, and we hold them there. At 2 minutes left on the clock most of the enemy team had given up, and few were really trying to fight. Then we saw the last point light up blue. Before we could react, they won. It had gotten spy capped... Needless to say the entire server (both red and blue) errupted in a bout of nerdrage, it was hilarious. :lol: Link to comment Share on other sites More sharing options...

I am so sick of that map...I guess it the best map in the game and very well balanced (since the map mirrors itself basically), but I have only played Hydro twice out of the hundred or so games I have played of Team Fortress. People play it just to spam and kill people, and 1 engy in both intels completely destroys any chance of either team winning. So yeah its basically a spam/turtlefest. I hate the snipers on it though, and I also hate how most of the time, it isn't about getting the intelligence, it's about killing everyone. I used to play it all the time on the 360, and more games would eventually finish than stalemate, but it usually took a bunch of spies going in and sapping campers. Much worse on PC it seems, and I only played it recently to find a place with some actual water to get the "Plan B" achievement. Alright with the 8-player-per-team limit on the Xbox. Not so great with what was the entire game on a single team. Command the Murderous Chalices! It's completely favors engies and heavy classes, and 90% of games end up in stalemates. Now granted back in TFC it very well was a crazy sniping map, mostly because they didn't have the roof over the bridge like they do in TF2. IMO, a half decent spy can rape a bad team at 2fort, though they don't have to be brilliant to put a stop to it. Spies can never really solo a game. They can turn the tide for their team greatly, but if no one capitalizes on those opportunities (i.e. most 2fort games).
