Wisp Posted June 25, 2009 Share Posted June 25, 2009 I like them (that server specifically) because I know a lot of the people who play on that server. There are a few people who are really really good, then a few good (but not amazing) players who are always on that server, which make it challenging enough for me. And lenin, that's not at all what is normally going on for me. If I play a sniper or spy, heavy, or engie, I come out positive, but usually my k/d's are pretty even. And domination wise, that situation was unfair for the other team, I was sitting on the tower sniping them, and they were trapped in their base in a situation where none of the snipers could survive long enough to counter-snipe me. I'm good as a sniper, but only because it's that map which is practically made for snipers. I doubt I could pull anything close to that off on a real map. EDIT: Does anyone else notice that kukri's crit against spies a lot? I seem to crit against them/be critted by one like 90% of the time. I usually consider myself to be doing well if I have any sort of positive K/D. With any class. Lol I usually manage to get even K/D even on classes I completely suck at. Wisp Posted June 25, 2009 Share Posted June 25, 2009 Well as a sniper, if there aren't any persistent spies, or snipers who are better than me (There are a lot of good snipers who play the servers I'm on, but they're not always on), and if a sniper is slightly worse than you, you can win 90% of the time, I can get a great k/d, since the only other class that occasionally kills me is a flying demoman who snuck behind me, or a scout who manages to force-a-nature me before I can shoot him. The server I use also has low gravity on for some reason (not really low, but enough that you can jump higher than normal) which makes the gameplay fairly unique. It's like the fourth time I've run across either your or chap :thumbsup: Decided to try some spying today on goldrush part 2. I'm no good at attacking buildings, but I did manage to keep demomen and snipers at bay. Then I met the dumbest engineer ever. I uncloaked behind their lines, and I saw an engi behind the buildings in front of the bomb site with a typical engi lair. I tried to backstab, but he turned. I was screwed, so I placed a sapper on his sentry and ran. He chased me to the tunnel and killed me with the wrench, and just as I was cursing myself, I saw that the sentry was destroyed. I KNOW, if wasen't for that guy i wouldn't be such as a master im at being a spy! HE'S MY HERO. Also have you seen some videos about an awesome pyro to? I mean if you are a spy you should see pyro videos, to know their tecnics, what do they do and how do they move, like in 1 of OMFGNINJA vids said ''Stay close to your friends, but closer to your enemies''.
