I did really good as spy today, and realized how much better the revolver is than the ambassador. I mean if you can aim decently, revolver just rapes.

It fires faster and does better damage. It's better if someone is at mid range, and running at you. The ambassador is good if you have great aim, but does a bit less damage if it doesn't crit. If you can aim well will the ambassador though, you'd probably be a better sniper, since if you can line up the crosshairs with the head quickly, you can do the same with the sniper, and then right click and left click at the same time, which means you zoom in for a split second allowing you to get headshots.

 

 

 

I like the ambassador overall better, since I'm more of a sniper-type player.

What demoman style do you guys use? I generally shoot stickies and then explode them in the air and only use the grenade launcher to shoot sentries around corners.

I don't use demo man, I just use soldier as I prefer the rockets to remembering to set off the stickies or waiting for the grenades to go off. XD

Actually had a pretty good round today. Roomate hopped on and started to medic me (running with Kritzreig). Ended the match with like 57 kills, 17 deaths, 74 points and 5 dominations. I do think I'm getting a lot better at soldier recently, paying more attention to where I'm shooting and I've gotten better at rocket jumping to get a height advantage.

With good coordination you can rocket jump others, to your advantage, especially if you can keep juggling them or perform aerials. I had good fun with scouts one game, when they nearly land a double jump rocket their feet and they'll be helpless in the air, if they survived.

I think you still have to download steam in order to play, though.

Yeah, you have to have Steam installed if you want to play TF2. It's not a bad thing either tbh, personally I find the support is excellent and the friends/server system is really useful. Don't forget to join the (unofficial) Tip.it group too.

It was on the bar room so yeah it was a 32 man server. idk if it was full at the time or not though.

Spy is fun. Especially with the cloak and dagger. Whether you actually do anything or not. Last night I was playing badlands, 4v3 (it had been at one point me v 1), but with me there it was pretty much 3v3. That entire game, I played spy, and got 1 kill. But, at the same time, 1 death, because some people like to randomly turn. But it was great fun hanging near the spawn, trying to time it right so just as they ran past I uncloaked and stabbed (1/2 the team was scouts, and 1 pyro, so it wasn't easy).

 

 

 

Earlier, before most of the server had bailed out and I had to repopulate, I was spy on dustbowl, 2nd stage. It was here I realized I'm fairly lucky, in that the guys that search for me after I stab them almost never find me even though I'm right next to them. I stabbed a Blu sniper near the beginning in the blu setup area, and stood right outside in the left side tunnel and watched as he came back and spent 2 full minutes walking through that ditch with his kukri. Good times.

I downloaded a few skins today, I really like them. I am really hoping to get alot of skins.

 

I got a pyro skin which makes them look mostly black with red/blu highlights. A flaregun skin which gives it a scratched black look with the part which your left hand is on a red/blu colour. A rocket skin which looks pretty funny. And finally a Mother skin for the Bonk! Atomic Punch.

Just had an epic (for me) game on pipeline 2nd. I went 51-31 as a spy. For me, that is epic. I was playing averagely until I was about 30-25, and then I started getting 6-7 kills per life.

 

 

 

All of it using the dead ringer. Mostly what I would do would be at the top of the stairs on their end of the tunnel, and every so often go down and stab the heavies, soldiers and snipers, then put ringer up and re disguise.

 

 

 

Was sooo fun, I'm happy now. Dead Ringer WTFPWNS!!!!!!

 

 

 

EDIT: I also had a great partner spy. He was in their spawn area, and every so often we'd collaborate on a engineer and his sentries. He didn't have a mic, but we managed somehow to coordinate it beautifully so I would sap and he would stab at the same time. If I could hi-5 through the internet I would have done so. Several times. It was like poetry. With blood. And knives.
