Bear in mind this is in the case of Extreme overdose. I'm kind of tired of explaining it, but Wikipedia itself is not the source of information. PN/5278189 http://www.ncbi.nlm.nih.gov/pubmed/17297243 Even extremely high dosages of vitamin C are used as a partial treatment for multiple diseases and have been approved for nearly 2 decades. I never said overly high doses are bad, but vitamin C taken in extreme amounts still has side-effects.

Just like bubble gum says excessive use may have laxative side effects. That will only happen if you eat like 8 packs of bubble gum at once... Few people do that, I'd dare to say. But you can't die by VC overdose (... Or bubblegum)

June 23, 200818 yr Some bubble/chewing gum include a substance that's also in toothpaste (Forgot the word and my mum is a dentist, I phial) which makes your stomach go fail (From unusual amounts), It can also corrode glass when it's Concentrated.

I have also had over 600 ml of caffeine and over 4000 ml of Taurine in like 3 hours... and im still here edit: i have also had 2 Bookoo back to back.... Seriously? Mountain Dew, etc, I can understand. But this is pushing it. If you need to stay awake for a short amount of time, let's say, two hours, a normal energy drink is fine. If you are still tired after that, you really need to get some shut eye. It's people that drink this, that end up on 5:00 news, for 42 hours of straight driving, and they wonder why they have been mistaken for being intoxicated. :shame:

There is no logic that man may name his own that would permit those levels to exist in a drink. I highly doubt they are serving an energy drink in >3L bottles. I guess maybe its meant to be mg? What size is a serving? Energy drinks don't do anything for me. I've previously only ever had them as a mixer for alcohol. I tried them whilst studying for my exams this semester, mix of v and redbull and didn't notice anything, I still felt just as tired. I don't mind the taste, but quite frankly they are a lot of money for no effect. The only time I consumed a vast amount was in combination with jaga and the amount of sugar they contain just gets sickening.

You'd be drinking about 20-50 cans of energy drink cans in that timeframe, I somehow doubt that.
