PC. There's a reason the GTX280 alone costs more than a PS3.

Id probably say PC if it wasnt for Microsoft's new crappy Windows Live service. This isnt the 360 ffs. So i'll have to go for PS3. It will win in the end when the 360 stagnates and people get bored of the Wii. Not that they're [cabbage] consoles or anything, all have they're good points.

A list of some of them would be awesome. All of the games I know that are worth a damn playing online don't have to be done through windows live.

Gameboy, hands down. ;) N64 also brings back some fun memories.

I'm probably going to have to go with the PC. There are thousands of games for it, Emulators where you can actually play non-PC games (legal or not), and if you know how, you can actually end up making your own games from scratch with a program..or, if you're really good, your own games from scratch.

Not to mention that while most consoles nowadays offer multimedia capabilities and web-surfing and online-play as a large feature and a large sales point, the PC has had these much, much longer, especially if you have an internet connection.

The only real downside is compatability. You may have problems running a game on the PC, not to mention that for the newest, best games, you'll probably end up upgrading...and it's pretty costly.

PC for sure. Such variety, quantity, and quality of games. Free online play for any game, excluding blood-sucking MMO's, that is virtually lag free if you have decent internet. Better graphics if your computer is good. RTS games that are not clunky and dumbed down. Games that consoles don't see for years, with some exceptions. And first person shooters are simply better due to the precision of the mouse. The list goes on.

Well yeah, when you count emulators then PC takes the cake.

PC, absolutely no contest. No other console or platform in the world has 25+ or so years worth of material for it, and no other console in the world is more advanced.

This sums it all up.

If you choose your beliefs/lifestyle simply based on what your parents want, then you are a weak minded individual and are not even worthy of calling yourself a person.

id like to refer you all to the chart i posted on page 3. that chart should have ended this debate long ago.

Pc without a doubt for me, even if you dont have any money i can find more fun playing say portal the flash version than most console games.

In terms of consoles though, ps2 .Nothing has had so much exclusives, a great mix of first party and third party, an eclectic mix of genres and it establishes gamings biggest franchises.

EDIT: oh and if your judging the state of pc gaming based on games for windows live then you need to step away from gamestores and turn on steam, even kongregate. Why pay $10 for a paperboy remake (that was a waste of cash) when you can play some great flash games.
