June 25, 200818 yr I'm not a big fan of the Tour de France, but my parents watch it all the time so I'm kind of forced to watch #-o I have been at a camping near the Mont Ventoux in France, Lance Armstrong trained around that area while we were there. He would cycle to the top and back every day, just to practice. And thats quite a long ride, I can tell you. I have been at that top twice. June 25, 200818 yr Don't know much about it but I know that lance Armstrong is really good  Oh and it's "thread" not "tread" (Not trying to make fun of you or anything, just saying)
June 25, 200818 yr This lad's a sporting fanatic. I'm suprised he hasn't started a wimbledon 'tread'
June 25, 200818 yr I watch it every year. Its been good seeing the Americans so dominant the past many years. I saw all of Lance's victories and it was great seeing him ride to bad he doesn't go for another title. I don't really have a favorite in the race, i just enjoy watching it. I love when they start hitting the Alp stages, thats when you see who wants it more then the others.
June 26, 200818 yr I was more of a Lance fan than anything but once he left I kept watching. I guess I like Levi Leiphimer or George Hincapie. My carbon footprint is bigger than yours...and you know what they say about big feet. These are the times that try mens souls...

June 26, 200818 yr Well, for Belgium people it's sad that Tom Boonen, the green jersey of last year, isn't allowed to come due to cocaine. So probably McEwen for the green this year. Not too sure whoo will take yellow, seeing as all the decent ones are gone due to doping. I'm not sure if Valverde is allowed, but if he is, I'm sure he'll compete for the top 5. Same with Evans, he's evolving quite a lot lately.

June 27, 200818 yr I have the utmost respect for those riders, it's the ultimate endurance test. The mountain stages are great to watch, but the sprint finishes at the end of each stage are often really entertaining. "Da mihi castitatem et continentam, sed noli modo"
June 27, 200818 yr Is Discovery still sponsoring the American team? I will usually turn it on here and there to keep track (or try to), but I only like watching the mountain stages, especially downhill. Beer
June 27, 200818 yr Don't have any real knowledge of the road racing disciplines of cycling, much more into mountain biking tbh but I sometimes watch it. It's truly amazing when you see the riders going down twisting alpine roads at speeds in excess of 50-60 MPH. You can't see that on tv truly as it doesn't look that hard but it requires amazing skill. Last time I tried anything like that I dislocated my shoulder  Hopefully the crashes wont be to bad this year. :o
