____
I have to say I'm getting a good laugh out of these "internet rebels" who are too cool for social networks  Same here. For the people who were all "they know where I live, have my email and phone, why do i need facebook/myspace?" I have the same thing, but it doesn't restrict my wanting to post random stuff in a joking manner for other friends to be involved with. If I need to contact people instantly I use my phone/skype (if they're AFK and have call forwarding on). Email I leave for work, any non-critical emails tend to get burried very quick/ignored. You clearly don't have a clue about our opinion, so don't second guess us please. It isn't about being rebellious, or snobbish, or whatever. It's just that there are already several ways people can get hold of me already - a social networking site is just another thing I'd have to check each and every day to catch up with people. It's not worth the time. I'd rather people just email/text me. Then it's actually a private conversation too and instead of a broadcast to the whole world. | Favourite Game Music | Last.fm | HYT Friend Chat Rules |

Italian5kamikaze
I like myspace, i can talk to friends I cant keep in touch with for other reasons and meet new people. Whoring and trains are pretty stupid lol too many scene kids think their famous even though one of my actual best friends has over 100,000 friends and he barely gets on at all. #-o Quit. It's not so much about contacting friends over a website, I'd say it was more finding old friends that you lost contact with or even making new friends on the internet. Ok meeting random people on the internet might not be your thing but people get a kick out of it. Heck even my 26 year old media teacher is addicted to facebook xD I think people just spoil it when you get the 12 year old chav-girls or "rude boys" competing for how many friends and profile views they can get, AKA Myspace/Facebook/ whoring. Yes I do have a myspace and a facebook, though finding myspace a lot easier to use, I think facebook has a much more mature audience, making the communities + groups a lot better than those on myspace. hellbellz
Myspace is just used for a place to talk, really.
emmanuel1233
Use both. Prefer the maturity of facebook compared to myspace. Remember kids, they arn't dangerous unless YOU make them dangerous.  thank you i only used myspace only cuz my friends used it instead of facebook, so most likely im going to use myspace, but i hear many good things from facebook so ill have to give it a look see. Randox
I am one of those rare people my age that has never touched myspace or facebook. Part of it is that I actualy hate looking at pictures of myself and do not like getting my picture taken. Its not because I don't like how I look at all, its just something that bothers me for no rational reason. I have met few other people around my age who don not have facebook/myspace. The other thing is that it would take to much of my time. I spen enough time here and on other forums already (to much actualy), so I am not inclined to agrivate the problem. I am never quite my true self on the internet anyways (I tend to be more happy go lucky than I really am for some reason), and not knowing who I am talking to can make me more social. I just dont want ot be in a situation like a relationship where my girl friend finds out I am nicer more of the time on the web than in real life (don't get me worng, what you see is my true persona, unrestrained, but that does not show all the time in reality). I am not saying I am a grouch and mean person in real life, just that I care more, get frustrated, and have to deal more with social pressures. l33t_necroh
I have both, but I only use Facebook. To the people who say "I don't know the point in sites like these", there are more things to do then just talk with friends. I had one friend who thought that, she met someone she hadn't seen in five years, she loves it now. And you can also make friends, through groups and things like that. I also like Facebook for some of the applications, while there are a few pointless ones, there is the occasional one that is a good was to pass the time (My Heroes Ability, Nations, Mob Wars) Oh, and it's great for stalking people!
IGoddessI
To be completely honest I love to show off and be a self centered twit by showing all the people on face book I used to go to school with (I was picked on immensely) just how much more I've accomplished than them  shallow but completely satisfying. Other than that, I don't use it other than for business purposes. I advertise what I have and if people are interested, I make sales. If friends of mine want to keep in contact they can call my cell phone and make arrangements to go out. Other than long time friends who no longer live in the country or same state as I, I don't really use the comment box. The only people who tell you that you can't do something are those who have already given up on their own dreams so feel the need to discourage yours. Zierro
I have to say I'm getting a good laugh out of these "internet rebels" who are too cool for social networks  Yeah seriously. There's nothing wrong with extending relationships over the internet. It makes things way more convenient. I remember times where I had to tell my friends important stuff - good thing I had them added on Myspace. :P

Jernlov
Used to have a MySpace but I've long gotten rid of it just because I never really used it bar talking to some friends, and they now have my e-mail/MSN/etc. Maybe again someday, but not yet. It was fun whilst it lasted. Steam | Soup | Last.fm

dusqi
I don't know anyone at my university (in the UK) that doesn't use Facebook - there were a couple of people that resisted it for a few years, but they caved. Events are organised and promoted on it, student issues are debated on it, pictures of events are put on it. It's easier to send a Facebook message because you don't have to work out their student e-mail address. You can also send messages to multiple people just like in e-mail. Now that we finished undergrad, it's a way to see how others you knew are doing in the 'real world'. I like to see what kind of jobs people got. [shameless plug] I also run an application (MyPersonality) that helps to pay my student bills: http://www.facebook.com/apps/applicatio ... 2490151219 For it is the greyness of dusk that reigns. The time when the living and the dead exist as one.
