I was thinking , all updates mentioned in the BTS are done , what will happen now? again 2 weeks of no updates.

 

If they don't make an update , don't be mad , i'm sure how hard they've worked this month(s)

 

 

 

Ok the bank update and lending system are great updates (item lending isn't in my view) but what about this :

 

 

 

The Behind the Scenes for July will be released at the start of next week. We have some other great things planned for this month, but we do not wish to distract you from the graphical updates just yet.

Spirit of Summer quest isnt out yet

They still havent released the promised "wilderness quest", so i think that will still be to come.

Learn to read and stop posting stupid threads, all updates in behind the scenes aren't out yet.

hopefully there will be some new sort of pvp... wouldnt that be a great way to top off the graphics, bank and itemlending updates...

We have 2 weeks left this month, and there are still 2 updates left in the BTS we havent seen yet.

They said the Wilderness quest would be the last update this month so likley we will get the Player's Gallery next week, and the Quest the week after. They dont have anything else planned besides that.

 

 

 

If you think theres a new skill or anything this month you are wrong. Jagex said they would annouce any upcomming skills, and even if they didnt, they would give suttle hints that there was something. So no, unless a wilderness quest is a whole new skill (Which it's not) then there will be no new skill this month. Sorry to burst your bubble.

1 thing i've noticed is on the ingame map the areas that are to be updated/expanded are in a checkerboard pattern now; no longer black; making a clear distinction between other parts of the map that arent due for updates/expansion. some very interesting spots and large areas due for updates. would be cool if they put expected dates for release on them like the did with castle wars.

 

 

 

i've said before if you look at the jagex timeline for skill development in the diary it's pretty clear they would be working on a skill or skills at least in development.

 

 

 

they've already mentioned updates to clan wars, changes to random events, this is an interesting thread written by mod mark and mod ash on the rsof 16-17-315-56584750 about clan wars updates and item lending and random events.

 

 

 

i would expect a state of play to be released soon probably next month or on the off week with no game update.

Am I the only one thinking Tutorial Island is going to get an update aswell?

Tutorial Island is now useless but still in-game, I was anticipating being able to return to it maybe to fight some strong monster, as I don't see this 'whiff of danger' anywhere.(Maybe we already can and they didn't tell us, like Shadow Sword thing) Under Lumbridge maybe, but that wouldn't come from a 'wind of change' on Tutorial Island...

Tutorial island isn't even used anymore :/ The whole tutorial is in Lumbridge now.

That big supprise WAS the BTS. They released it a week late so we wouldn't be distracted from graphics by upcoming content. And as people have said, maybe you shoul dre-read the BTS, its not all out yet.

They still have the wilderness quest for release later this month. They are also working on an improved clan wars and fixing/changing random events. Those will most likely come next month though.

1 July 2008 - New Website and Much More...

 

 

 

As if launching RuneScape HD wasn't big enough on its own, we have released several other updates at the same time! These include a reworked website, several city improvements and a new world map.

 

 

 

The New Website:

 

 

 

For most people, the first improvement they encounter will be the new RuneScape website. You will notice that the links on the left side of the front page have gone, replaced with tabs across the top of the page that drop-down to reveal their contents. These have been grouped together according to subject, making your chosen section easy to find. The path through to play the game remains the same as before.

 

 

 

In-Game Improvements:

 

 

 

Aside from RuneScape HD, we have made several graphical updates that also affect the old detail modes. A deep breath is needed here: three of the largest cities in RuneScape - Al Kharid, Lumbridge and Ardougne - have been reworked to give them a new, improved look; Castle Wars has been given a fresh lick of paint; your teleport animations and your emotes should now be more impressive; and the fires of RuneScape have an improved, crackling flame.

 

 

 

World Map Integration:

 

 

 

To make RuneScape easier to navigate, we have introduced an in-game world map. At the simple press of the globe icon in the top-right of your screen, next to the minimap, you are able to view your position in the world and see where you want to go, without opening any separate windows.

A vital change has been made to purple sweets. An issue with their scripting meant that they could keep a player alive forever, which is certainly not what we intended! The purple sweets are now back to normal.
