You find relationships stupid and pointless because you've never had one. You don't know what it's like, and most likely you don't hang around provocative people.

Emotions in teenage relationships are just as real and strong as those in relationships later on in life, even though they are often more fleeting. Since you've never been in a relationship it's hard to explain why they have a point and so on, but as for asking someone out, it's different for every person. There's no sure way to get someone to go out with you, or to even like you. Don't just ask some random person, get to know them first. Know their interests, find something in common with them, whatever. I've only had to ask a guy out once, but that was because he was too shy to ask me himself, so I'm not too good with specifics on that. I personally don't mind how someone asks me out, unless they're being overly arrogant about it.

Well, I havent been on for over a month, and I have a new problem.

So throughout that week I continued to talk to her and my friends kept trying to convince us to go out. Come saturday, Party time lol, I went to a party and she was there, I plucked up enough courage to ask her out, just before she got drunk and she said yes.

 

 

 

Here is when the problem starts. So after that, she got incredibly drunk and ended up making out with my good friend. Ofcourse, she was deeply upset about what she did, and sort of went out of contact on Sunday. So... The week after that was spent trying to sort it out, I decided not to actually confront her until she had came to her own conclusion, But I also did spend the time to come to my own conclusion, to forgive her. And him aswell.

 

 

 

So me and her are in a relation now, so yay.

 

 

 

So the problem is, I think my friend resents me... because he had strong feelings for the girl for a long, long time, and when he did find out me and her. he went off and became a hermit so to speak for a day.

Really, he never acted on those feelings, so he's to blame for his missed chance. You did nothing wrong.

Just let him be, he had every opportunity in the world to ask her out and he did nothing. Eventually he will stop projecting all the blame on you and might get off his [wagon] to take the next opportunity :D So in a way by ignoring his sulking you're actually helping him. Don't ignore him if he decides to be rational again though, just act like nothing ever happened.

This applies to your situation well. Your friend should have done something about it if he really liked this girl. It' s his fault. You're allowed to feel sorry for him, maybe even feel a little pity, but do not apologize for your actions, as you did nothing wrong, or to intentionally hurt him.

I used to feel that way about relationships. Then I got in one. Now I realize just how awesome they are. Yes some are pointless, but having a companion of any kind is always a good thing. Girlfriends just happen to be excellent companions.

This is exactly how I met my girlfriend. First summer fling. Now she loves me. Funny how that works, even after 4 months of post break up. Truth be told you may never forget her. I suggest you move on, contrary to my approach. There's a lot of fish in the sea as they say. Chances are she wasn't right for you anyway. Go catch a good one, tiger :)

Seriously though, like Sworddude said, AIM or MSN for an hour is nothing. Talk IRL for an hour and you're getting closer.

I posted here a long time ago about this girl that i liked. From little conversations we had in our one class we shared together, it has pretty much evolved. I got an account on facebook and we started talking to each other pretty much everyday. Our conversations on facebook changed from little discussions on our class to more personalized ones. We pretty much talk about anything and it is easy, all i do is ask her how her day was.

 

 

 

So earlier today i was having a conversation with her and there was a part where she asked me any valentine lovers that i had (because tomorrow is valentines day). I responded with: Will you be my valentine!?!?!? and then she laughed and there was kind of a pause and then the topic switched to something else.

 

 

 

Im glad that we actually have deep conversations and i have feelings for her. I asked my female friend about it and she told me that based on my conversation she likes me back because she is extremely nice and i guess generous because she is having deep conversations with me. She told me that if she didnt like me, she wouldnt talk to me like she did in the conversation and she also seems to laugh a lot at what i say. She also told me that because she was wondering who my valentine lover was is a hint.

Oh, but be specific about which movie. Make sure it's one that she likes but not a chick flick because it'll be weird. That kind of stuff happens later on.

Just ask her to a movie. It's not that hard, and if you're really scared of rejection, you could try to make it seem like you're asking as a friend, though that might not always work out. Don't worry too much. If you don't try to ask, nothing will ever happen.
