"I want a girlfriend/boyfriend", and other such relationship advice

Just go to it.

You aren't required to pay attention or anything..

Or tell her you can't make it.

Heh, doesn't matter anyway now, My parent's told me we're going out for a meal on Sunday, so i wont be able to go, so i told her that, and all is well (I hope).

  • Obviously you ask her to come with you. Drive with her to the steepest mountain. Put her in the backpack and spend a week climbing the mountain. You will drink the rain and you will eat like a bear. B

  • Okay so I'm pretty confident at least 2 of you remember me and maybe .5 of you remember how my last post went. To recap, I went on the first date of my life and then a second one that went poorly.   T

That was lucky.

If it comes up again, and you have nothing else to do, just go to spend time with her.

Thats what I intend to do, but, she has already told me that she's interested in another guy, so I'm just building up trust and friendship for now, and see how it works out between her and the other guy :)

so damn, I'm single now, and I felt really confident today, and I haven't been too sad, and I feel, manly, and like I'm awesome. it's great.

I'm still gonna miss her though. I already do sort of, but I feel alright.

Then you'll get some guys here saying you'll get friend-zoned and such..

Though really, even coming out with just a lasting friendship is good enough. Just don't get close to her in order to try get a relationship out of it, chances are she'll hate it, because that's all you had in mind, and she might have thought otherwise.

Just remember, just because you are friends, doesn't leave out dating oppertunities.

As you said, a lasting friendship is good enough. I start with friendship and then see if anything could happen, rather than seeing everyone as a potential date. Makes it easier for me to be confident. And it's not all that I had in mind, I don't really like her in that way atm, but she's giving out IOIs occasionally, so obviously it's making me interested.

I need some help, but in a different way. A girl I like is trying to get me to go to some Christian Youth meetings, and I'm an agnostic. I don't want to start a religious debate with her, but she is really upfront about me going to it. Any advice?

She will respect you more if you tell her you're agnostic and you aren't interested, as long as you aren't apologetic about it.

edit: btw I found a book that everyone should read. It's called brad p's fashion bible. It drums the [wagon] kisser out of you, It goes into the psychology behind fashion and explains my point before about no style (jeans, tshirt, vans etc) being a bad idea, gives styles categorized by 'loudness,' gives sources to keep up with the trends etc. Great read, and it's not huge either. You can easily read it in one sitting.

Especially hobgoblinpie who has nice guy syndrome ^.^

[wagon] should be uncensored imo - runescape allows it

I thought those were just hangouts, and anyone can go? You don't have to believe to go to them, right?

Matt: You want that eh? You want everything good for you. You want everything that's--falls off garbage can

Camera guy: Whoa, haha, are you okay dude?

Matt: You want anything funny that happens, don't you?

Camera guy: still laughing

Matt: You want the funny shit that happens here and there, you think it comes out of your [bleep]ing [wagon] pushes garbage can down, don't you? You think it's funny? It comes out of here! running towards Camera guy

Camera guy: runs away still laughing

Matt: You think the funny comes out of your mother[bleep]ing creativity? Comes out of Satan, mother[bleep]er! nn--ngh! pushes Camera guy down

Camera guy: Hoooholy [bleep]!

Matt: FUNNY ISN'T REAL! FUNNY ISN'T REAL!

Tell her your busy. I had the same issue once and I decided to go. It was by far the most awkward thing I've ever been to, being agnostic myself.

Don't lie about it... she's definitely not gonna trust you :\

Pardon me if I'm immoral, but can't you show sexual interest in someone who has a significant other? You could put it in joking terms, but I don't really feel like you have to submit to the other guy if she wants you more.

That's probably practicality over nicety though. God damnit, why do nice guys have to finish last. Stupid world.

I hear girls like a guy that finishes last, actually.

Dan, I've skimmed the brad p thing, my brother has it. I wouldn't pay 70 dollars for it though. I have a little audio book from the Queer Eye for the Straight Guy guys, it has some great fashion stuff in there. It's delivered in more of a "Oh sweetie wear this!" attitude than a "Quit being a little [bleep] and look good" tone, but it still works.

Totally true that women have already decided what's sexy, normal, and creepy by the time they're 18. Hell, they probably have by the time they're 15 now.

catch it now so you can like it before it went so mainstream

I just read the book. It makes some very good points, but there's no way I would pay $70 for it o.O

I hear nice guys finish in the shower too

I didn't buy the book, (I'm pretty sure it's 40 not 70) but imo it's well worth the money for people with nice guy syndrome and no fashion sense. This is the internet anyway, everyone will just download it :P

On a interesting Topic, My friend (OF whom us the ONLY Ex GF who still talks to me) when we went shopping she seemed all flirty. She was saying how it was cute of me to spend time with her (I haven't done anything over the holidays is mostly the reason), saying "Im tired, if I hold your hand and ask you to guide me dont freak out" and was always mentioning how lazy her BF is "He hasn't got his Drivers Licence / Never see's me / Didn't see me when I was sick because he was afraid he'd get sick too".

I don't know if its me or if she's hitting on me. Even though she was the one who said 2 years ago "I doubt we'd ever go back out, We both know it wont work."

Women are confusing. <_<

You could swallow your pride and be the little-known, but still considered Christian guy. It won't really kill you to be a bit Christ-y. Unless she's a religion nut. Which you should stay away...far awaaaaaaaaaaaay.

Is she often without a boyfriend? Can she be single? If not, it's quite obvious: she's bored of the other guy and on the hunt for a new one, and in the phase where going back to the old doesn't seem that bad after all if it gets you rid of the current. Sorry if this sounds cruel, but I've observed there is a huge amount of people out there who, once they've been in a relationship, will never be without.

Not necessarily. Girls often keep nice guy friends around who like them for what I guess to be an ego boost.

Sure, but this is her dropping hints to a nice guy friend with whom she happens to have a history.

Also, nice guys friends aren't necessarily there for the ego boost. Sometimes, a guy can be just that, a friend. But with exes, things are bound to always be somewhat muddled.

OI!

I still need a bit of help. I posted a while ago, but didnt get much of a response. To sum it up, theirs a girl i like, i wanna try to go hang out with her or somthing, and i really just dont know know how i should go about doing it, and advice on how to pull it off would be nice. Im a somewhat shy kind of kid, and i really am just nervous and dont wanna make an idiot of myself.

Im gunna say it again, "lenticular and your aspergers syndrom :wall: "

Read Brad P's Fashion Bible.

Confirmed my own theories.

@Alex: You have to actually attract her before you ask her out. Flirt, look for indicators of interest (http://www.fastseduction.com/cgi-bin/fswiki.cgi?Indicators_Of_Interest)... Report back with a summary of how that goes.

[Edit]

Okay, tough situation.

Emily liked me at the start of the school year, along with 2 other guys (I guess she was just looking at guys and thinking about who she'd like to be with). I asked her if she wanted to go do something, she said she didn't know me enough (I asked her to a date so I could get to know her more. Go figure...). I don't know if I'm interested.

Stef has been dropping all kinds of hints and IOIs. I am not interested.

Mumu and I got a Facebook marriage (was not serious), we got a divorce because she didn't want to be in the way of Emily and I. But I think she's starting to like me (I told her about Emily, she said she was kind of jealous of her). I am not interested.

Tonight, there will be a party. All three will be there.

Wish me luck...

But really, i just need suggestions on what flirting would be!

I'm not exactly the best person for this -.-

Nobody can just tell you what to do and suddenly you'll be good at it. That's fail. People have answered questions like yours plenty of times on this thread, and probably millions of times on the internet as a whole. General advice is all we can give you with as much info as you've got, and you can find that on the internet.

Find an in. That's my advice. Find a commonality, an activity she goes to or something and go to it. Don't follow her and start talking, that's called stalking.

That is all. Want advice on how to flirt? Use a search engine and come back here when you have a more specific problem, but what you're basically doing right now is going up to a random person and just saying fix it. They have no clue what you're talking about, but you just keep insisting that they fix it.

I know I probably sound rude, and I apologize(not that that makes it any better, especially over the internet.).

OH FMFL

Mumu asked me how i was going to the party, over MSN. I said I'd meet a friend somewhere and then we'd bus. She said she'd meet us there, then asked for us to remarry. I said "hmmm I think not :P". she answers "lmao shawg! well this is all awkward for me..." and adds "nvm, i'm gonna go to the party earlier".

At least 2/4 people are going to get screwed over in this story.

On the bright side, I learned you don't flirt for a week straight with someone you don't want to go out with, no matter who they are and whether they've told you that relationships are BS or not.

Ok flirting.

Before you worry about flirting, read up on DHV and attraction switches from either my posts or the internet.

Flirting is just about having fun and being a challenge. Bust her balls when she says something dumb, offer to introduce her to random dorky guys you see, make her give her best elephant noise before you give her a lift home.

Role playing is awesome. Break up with her, get back together with her sister and have an argument about custody of the tv and the dog

Remember those stupid little jokes and games you had when you were in grade 4? They are funny all over again. (When you're 18+ at least) The story of the blind mouse, dumb mouse and deaf mouse etc etc. Imagine a girl spending hours getting ready at home and then you come along and write "Pen 15" on her arm.

Maybe give her a point system, if she says something funny tell her she earned 2 points. Take a point off every now and then. If she asks what the points are for get creative.

Again - flirting is just about having fun and being a challenge.

I need some help.

I recently came out on Facebook, so that everyone in my school and other social outlets know about it. I want a boyfriend, but have no idea how to a ), find another gay/bi male, and b ), actually initiate a relationship. Any advice?

I'm an INTJ.
