The release date was pushed back to July 17, 2009!!

 

Said it would bring more revenue for a summer release and also time between the next movie release will be shortened.

 

I wanted the movie to come out in November :(

Wow I'm actually impressed. It looks pretty good. But I don't think I'll get my hopes too high because I don't want to be disappointed. In my opinion, the movies have only been decreasing in quality, but hopefully this one will break the trend.

Don't say that :P If you enjoy the movies then you would LOVE the books. They are more than 500x better.

I remember when the books first came out I thought they were totally cool and I couldn't get enough of them, but after reading the final one as old as I am now, they really lost their touch with me. I hope it isn't J.K. Rowling losing her writing ability and rather me just growing out of it. But nonetheless the movie looks alright.

I hope it's great. The last one was terrible, in my opinion. It seemed they were in a rush to make it.

I still havn't seen the 5th one, better get that out sometime.

I felt the same exact way. That's the problem with Harry Potter! The books are too long for me and the movies leave out the fun details!

Part one and two of deathly hallows are being released separately - i *think* in may and november.

Warner Bros keeps changing the directors too damn much. Some of them have an artistic style that should have nothing to do with Harry Potter, and they ruin it. I don't know why some of the directors were hired, WB must have horrible taste sometimes...

 

 

 

Not a hardcore Harry Potter/fantasy fan :lol: But since I got the books as presents over years from younger cousins.. I read them for fun. It's not childish at all, it's a very sophisticated fantasy series.

Can't watch the trailer, but I hope they do well on the movie. HBP is one of my favorite HP books. I don't know why, since next to nothing happens in it, but there you are.

I agree that it was a good idea to split the last book into two movies. If they hadn't, they would have had to skip so much. (or made the movie 6-7 hours long...)

A classmate of mine is in the film. I'm quite jealous (he got paid £60 an hour) He hasn't told who he's playing or if he's just a random student. Can't wait!

I disagree. First of all, Rowling is not the one who decided to make the seventh movie into two movies. And second of all, they're not creating two movies to make more money, but because there is too much content in the seventh book to make one good and accurate movie out of it.

Yeah it really sucks.. And the directors keep changing aspects of the movie to create all kinds of inconsistencies. They completely changed Dumbledore's entire style, they redesigned the dementors for the worse, etc. They made all sorts of unnecessary changes. You cannot make the dementors one way in the third movie and completely redesign them for the fifth :roll:

She still gets paid per movie...Unless she produces or something,in which case I retract my ignorant statements.

I liked the trailer, it was short but pretty good. I thought it was a little wierd that it didn't show Ron or Hermione at all though.

 

 

 

I really hope the next movie is good and that they can fit the story into 2 hours without leaving too much out.

 

But since it is Harry Potter I'm sure I'll love it no matter what lol :
