What is your oppion on paying for runescape items/gold for real money, and what would you do if it ever get implented into game in anyway??

 

 

 

I myself would for sure would play less. Ive seen a game where you donated cash and got the greatest items.

 

 

 

You paid fora "Token" =Token cud be used to get for example using Runescape: You could get a "Bandos chestplate".

 

 

 

I hope that this never happens.

 

 

 

The game i saw used donations: had majority with Best stuff and weapon etc...and you had to use your money to achieve anything.

 

 

 

Game is about achievement and challenge, not about "Buying"...

 

 

 

Luck is part of it: Where friends give you stuff. But that's taken out of game.

I personally would not want/like that at all. That's all I have to say.

I know Jagex would never do it considering how unfair it would make the game. And I sure as hell would not want this to happen. I know I'd be tempted to do it and if I did it would just ruin the game for me.

Jagex don't like unfairness, so I can't see them doing that. But if it happened, I wouldn't do it and I wouldn't like it.

I won't bother bringing up A Local Guy's famous quote, but suffice to say the moment you play a game just to buy the best stuff, and not to have fun, is the moment you need to quit. If you start buying stuff just to impress those whom you will never meet, you need to work on your real life. I play a game to have fun and get away from the pressures of work, not to be the best. Not that trying to be good is a bad thing; its just that when it overrules the having fun part its time to quit. Most RWTers quit after a few months anyway - once you've gotten everything, what do you do then? If you've bought items, you might as well pay someone to train for you - and then what?

What would be really stupid is if Jagex were to introduce some really overpowered gear to people who brought it with real money.

I would not want that at all in this great game. If it was however implemented, I would NEVER! EVER! buy any one item with my real life cash nor would I buy "Tokens" that I can use to buy items. I'd rather EARN my items.

Considering they were fighting against RWT so damn much, I'd find it stupid that they'd suddenly introduce it themselves. Would also give the real RWT a bucketful of cold water in the face - "WAKE UP! IT'S RWT TIME!"

I can tell you for definite you will not see it ever in RuneScape.

 

 

 

However, I do think some people should be paid (not a lot) those with reps ingame to keep playing (maybe must gain xxxx amount of xp a month) and to advertise the game on other sites such as YT and other 3rd party sites.

I wouldn't be too surprised if Jagex implemented some type of real life $ for items in future games, but never for Runescape.

 

Many other online games offer some type of purchasing system to buy premium items with cash, and it seems to work pretty well.

 

I'd assume Paypal would be utilized since (former Paypal CEO) Geoff Iddison now works for Jagex.

Yes, but the cheat sites are illegal, trust me on this, if jagex put upa rwt for $7 a million people would pay cause there is no chance you could get banned fro it

If they implimented this system then Jagex would just have made removing the Wilderness and Freetrade completely and utterly pointless, making all subsequent updates pointless too, so IT WILL NEVER HAPPEN. I would also hate for this to happen due to the fact that it would make everyone just call well-off RS players rich irl gits. :wall:

I wouldn't mind it if they did it with some equipment that just looked good, had no stats but look cool. This would give players no advantage in game and if people wish to pay to get it they'll help support the game which I'm fine with.

One of my friends plays this game. I tell him its a waste of money (same could be said for RS...). I mean it doesn't even have that spectacular graphics, and its $15 a month. To get anything at all in the game you need to spent irl cash. Its stupid. THis kind of stuff for MMO's is stupid. Especially for RS, with the immaturity level of most of the fanbase unfortunatly.

There is this other online game called Battleon and there are extremely rare tokens that you can use to get the most powerful armor and swords and stuff (Multiplayer but you don't interact or see any of them) and you are able to buy like 100(takes over 10 hours to get) for 10$

This would never happen, but if it did, the game would likely be ruined for a lot of people. There wouldn't be much of a point to the game anymore. Everyone who wanted to be good in the game, would simply buy the things, and then they wouldn't get the respect they hoped to get because everyone would assume that they bought the items with IRL money. Idk if that made much sense to anyone else :XD: but my point is, no.
