Ouchy Posted June 28, 2009 Share Posted June 28, 2009 Been at the skate park all afternoon. I can confim I can drop in on a halfpipe (that's on a BMX with 36 sprocket, not mine). I'm also hopefully going to get my 24" single geared with 25 on the front, 12 on the back, a new disc brake on the back, and new bars. Also, my back wheel is lsightly out of line, and so is my front disc brake. So I'll get those fixed up too. Screw that. It's gonna cost £250 for conversion, and a mate is selling his revell 24" for £250. So I'll get that. What do you ride? It shouldn't cost that much. Try doing it yourself. Do you have vert or horizontal drop outs? My relaxation method involves a bottle of lotion, beautiful women, and partial nudity. Yes I get massages. Do you have vert or horizontal drop outs? I ride skate park mostly, a bit of dirt. Vert dropouts on my current bike. I think the cost is so high because of the amount of things I need for it to work. New cranks, new sprocket, new bottom bracket, a whole new rear wheel. It's not really worth conversion. I've had offers for it for around £50, which I think is ok, though I could probably sell my forks for that. Anywho, the Revell is going for £200, a dent or two and a couple of scratches, everything working pretty much perfect, lovely hydraulic brake on the back. Apparently, according to a mate who works in my local specialized concept store, it's worth around £1200 brand new. So I'm happy. I sat in Maitland for a few hours on Friday, then went to youth which was fun as my friend brought CoD 2 so we played that on the 360 then I want to a different friends place and we played the 360 till 4 in the morning, the next day we went and saw Transformers 2, when we went out I was some friends waiting to go into the next session, talked for a while then went to Hungry jacks to wait for a different friend to finish work so we could go to his place then today his mum dropped us off at his church as he has to go every week then I had to, yet again, go to a different person place till my 'rents got back so they could pick me up. I can still get my Diploma without it, and doing the course will set me back a year, 6 to do the course, 6 after Cert 3 when I have to wait for the next year to start so I can do the 1 year Cert 4 course. It is just a certificate level, it goes 2 - 3 - 4 - Diploma - Adv Diploma. 2 is extremely basic, some of the people in my class had never really used a computer.
