jackattack
If it was me I would be insulted. I assume they are insulted that they have trained for years and this guy not only doesn't even have to give his best to absolutely destroy them but also slows down and starts showboating during the race. Ginger_Warrior
Well when you can actually run anywhere near his pace, I might listen to your opinion on how he acts. In the meantime, I will continue to praise his achievement, just like the rest of the world. | Favourite Game Music | Last.fm | HYT Friend Chat Rules |

In the meantime, I will continue to praise his achievement, just like the rest of the world. Hell I'll praise his achievement. He an amazing athlete, just not a very good sportsman. I don't see why I would have to run near his pace to be able to talk about sportsmanship. My carbon footprint is bigger than yours...and you know what they say about big feet. Kenshinjapan
I say, if Bolt's actions were meant to be insulting, I'd say he did pretty bad job at it since none of the athletes who were there complained about him. Michael Phelps' He-Man impression after the team race where they just beat France was hardly tasteful either, but I'm not gonna sit here and call him a disgrace for it. I admire he's the greatest swimmer ever, quite clearly. It was arrogant, yes. But when you're the fastest man in the world by a country mile I think you might just have a right to be a little bit cocky about your achievements, especially one as impressive as his. I think Phelps had the right to brag after that race since France was insulting their team in interviews saying "The Americans? Hah! We will crush them!" @Jack: How can that be considered offending your opponents? If he would have been flipping them off, then that might have been a different story :| . If you are offended that easily, I'd hate to see you play a sport in real life. YOU! ATTEND TET EVENTS! CLICK HERE!
jackattack
It is insulting that when you have trained for years some guy comes and just totally destroys you and doesn't give his best effort and then even slows down and taunts you while you are still running. How do you consider slowing down as taunting? The olympics aren't about good sportsmanship anyways, so who cares if the winner doesn't act graceful? YOU! ATTEND TET EVENTS! CLICK HERE! No, it just means he's better than you as a runner. He who learns must suffer, and, even in our sleep, pain that cannot forget falls drop by drop upon the heart, and in our own despair, against our will, comes wisdom to us by the awful grace of God. - Aeschylus (525 BC - 456 BC)

Kenshinjapan
all sports are about sportsmanship No they're not, sports are about having fun, or in the case of the olympics, being the best in the world. Do you think any olympian goes to the Olympics with the thought of being the most humble person in the race? No, they go there to win and you can't be offended when the celebrate when obtaining that goal. YOU! ATTEND TET EVENTS! CLICK HERE!

Lateralus
Do you really think there was any malicious intent in it though? He seems like a lovely guy, and he was probably just overwhelmed that he was about to win a gold medal. I don't think he meant any harm in it at all, and the rest of the world seems to have enjoyed it - Do you think this is a bit of a mountains and molehills situation? La lune ne garde aucune rancune. mrpez
if you watch any track and field race you will notice that most of the racers slow down at the line. usian bolt jokes around a lot. if you watched the race early this morning on nbc, they were filming him before a race began while he goofed around with his friend (ie: making funny faces at the camera and putting bunny ears on his friend). stop the arguments about sportsmanship. edit: michael phelps never showboated either. all he did was cheer with his teammates when they won the relay. Will H
Woot Team GB's still 3rd in the table. :D Can I just say that Canada should try better, the effort you put into the Summer Olympics compared to the size, population and facilities in your country is almost shameful. We should be bowing down to you in the tables. ~ W ~
jemathonical
For arguements sake, do you think that the marathon runners, triathletes etc are taunting the otehr competitors when they finish the race with their hands in the air? It is an overwhelming feeling getting a gold medal in the Olympics and it would be impossible to contain your emotions. Bolt did exactly that and he won convincingly, giving him more reason to be over the moon. As for the ping pong. I don't know whether to laugh or admire the players. I laugh at them for having such long and over the top rallies. I admire them for having long and over the top rallies. ^Sir Jem 05-The Bunny Drinking Blog?^ Click it! Ginger_Warrior
15 gold medals for Team GB! We should also get a gold in the women's BMX with that lass from the north-west. Chris Hoy becomes the first British competitor in over a century to pick up three golds in one games. Wiggins could have done it in the Madison... it's kinda tight on Cav since he pulled out of the Tour De France to be at the Olympics and now he's the only British cyclist going home empty-handed. As for a country's population - that's never been a deciding factor in the Olympic games. Logically, a bigger country should be able to select from a greater talent pool, but a country's GDP and spending on sports has always been more significant. | Favourite Game Music | Last.fm | HYT Friend Chat Rules |

Latinoking
I'm getting sick of these Olympics and more particular the women gymnastics. Nastia Liukin got robbed (Shawn Johnson too). I mean what the hell is up with that tie breaker last night? (Thanks a lot Aussies) Look @ the Middle Girl "He Kexin" If she is 16, then I must over 25. Ginger_Warrior
I don't know why you're bothering to post an image. Like we can even tell how old Nastia is on that image. Her disputed age is 14, however. In fact, claims on that age appear more consistent than the claim she's 16. As for the voting... do you even know what they can deduct points for, or what happens in a tie-break? I watched the actual event and the commentators didn't, and one used to be a British gymnast (a quick read of Wikipedia says it was given on the individual scores of the B-panel of judges). I actually think the other Chinese girl was better anyway, but I don't know what they can deduct points for so... | Favourite Game Music | Last.fm | HYT Friend Chat Rules |

Nastia is 18 years old and on Television you can see even when she's hugging her dad or standing next to the coaches. Her disputed age is 14, however. In fact, claims on that age appear more consistent than the claim she's 16. Are you talking about Kexin He? She looks like she's 10! I mean 4 years ago, Nastia could have went to Athens and lied about her age, but didn't. Just because China is the host country they're allowed too? But it won't really matter, China already made fake passports. People claim Shawn Johnson is underage too, investigate her too. As for the voting... do you even know what they can deduct points for, or what happens in a tie-break? I don't have an Olympics rule book, but it's easy enough to see when one does a miss or doesn't execute properly. What does the British commentator has to do with anything? I'm talking about how both Nastia and Kexin were BOTH tied, yet they can't give BOTH girls gold medals. This "tie-breaker" process was unneccessary and in the end (Along with Australia's judge score) hurt Nastia.
