August 24, 200817 yr So the olympics are officially at london. Its going to be interesting the direction they take now because they cannot outclass china in pomp and ceremony, venues which are more about archetecture than sports and more money than ever. Its going to bring regenaration to london, and a 11 billion pound bill which i will ahve to fork out because i will be paying taxes :wall: theres always a catch -.-
August 25, 200817 yr To everyone who still claims China is "innocent." Who's claiming they are? We know they're guilty, we just don't care. Frankly, you should care. It is completely out of the spirit of the Olympics to cheat. It completely sours the competition, and just devalues "winning" the Olympics. It seems that China wants to be in the category of countries that North Korea is in, ones that can't be trusted to not cheat or lie, in Olympics or otherwise. you know there is a place called outside, better graphics 100% pvp and no fee to play :-w
August 25, 200817 yr Just finished watching the closing ceremony. Wasn't as impressed as I was with the opening. The Jimmy Page/Leona Lewis part was cool because I'm a Jimmy Page fan, but it wasn't a major part of the ceremony. I thought London's mayor looking pretty dorky with his jacket open trying to wave the olympic flag. Can't wait till 2012. Last.Fm My Bloggy Proud to have served on Tip.it Crew
August 25, 200817 yr Sydney's Olympics were still the best :). I didn't watch the Closing Ceremony, I just thought it would drag on and on for no reason. ^Sir Jem 05-The Bunny Drinking Blog?^ Click it!
August 26, 200817 yr Author i find it strange how everyone but the athletes is so hyped up over the chinese athletes' ages. im sure the other athletes have suspicions, but i havent yet seen them degrade china for it, and yet here we all are arguing over it. (maybe some athletes have spoken out, and ive missed it? please show me or tell me, id like to know).

August 26, 200817 yr im looking forward to seeing iran win anything so i can drape a large iranian flag on my back and run yelling through the neighborhood, thereby raising the terror level of my neighborhood to orange. I was thinking about Tehran hosting the 2016 Olympics, with Ahmadinejad opening the games. Would be way more cooler than the Queen in four years' time. -.- China have got a strong chance of getting more golds than the US this year. GO CHINA! (not that anyone in China can actually read this post...) The US team this year is weak apparently. The Aussies have got high ambitions, we're hoping for 4th. We've even sent a 14-year-old to secure a medal for us. I just read it and i was in China! \ First off let me say: I'm Chinese but i have permanent residency in Canada. So... opening and closing ceremonies were great IMO, but i kinda got tired of China winning EVERY SINGLE medal! And what's worse is that Canada's 300-some people team only won 3 gold while China won 51 :ohnoes: . Oh and the Chinese tv stations dont even broadcast the medal ceremonies if some other country won it (mainly saying that all i ever get to hear is the Chinese anthem)
