Had my first Anime Club meeting today, and I have to say it was boring as hell! All we do is watch anime for an hour, and the club supervisor won't even let us socialize with each other icon_ugh.gif Me and my friends left about 10mins into the anime we were watching (I forget the name but it was animated very well, so it must have been made a year or two ago), which is thankfully only 6 episodes so we're going to draw for what anime to watch next meeting. Ah well, I'm just looking forward to Anime North!

On another note I finished School Rumble 2nd and 3rd term yesterday (haven't watched the OVA's yet), and read the School Rumble Z manga.

[hide=***SPOILERS*** - thoughts on the ending] I was displeased that Tenma ended up being with Karasumo and not Harima, but then again I really wanted Yakumo to end up with Harima because I LOOOOOVE Yakumo! But you can't win 'em all I guess. I was just happy to see that Mikoto ended up with Hannai (I love childhood friends that end up in relationships), although it would've been funny if Imodori got Mikoto (he'd be drueling over her D Cups 24/7 laugh.gif ). I think I almost cried when Yakumo gave the speech to the graduating students in the manga, I never thought she'd break down into tears like that but it was a great ending to the manga.[/hide]

After I finish Hellsing today I seriously want to finish the Inuyasha manga- I've been putting it on hold for much too long, and with the last volumes of the manga finally being animated spoilers are sure to spread! But Ah!My Goddess is so darn tempting...gah!

That anime club sounds crap :(

Our anime club is pretty fun, I'm the leader of it and everything. We've got a website and forums, we sit around and chat for about 10 mins then I'll talk about any events we might attend, updates to the website and all, then we'll watch an anime that we vote in every week as Anime of the week, we'll watch the first episode of that. There's about 10 people now and it's quite difficult to get control, last year was a bit nicer since there was only 5 of us and we were a really close knit group, but this year should be better once I get to know the new members.

We also have our own ID cards and everything :D

***

I've been watching The Wallflower as my currently watching anime, it's basically 4 bishy boys trying to make this woman (who reminds me of me a lot  ) into a proper woman. Very Ouran High school-like, it's not really amazing but it's decent. I need to watch the rest of the new Haruhi episodes since I've not watched any since the conclusion of Endless 8.

Well our anime club is ok I guess. We can talk to each other, though since we are still banned from watching too much violence we don't have much to branch out on. That leaves most of the good animes out.

What?! Are you guys just watching slice of lifes and harems? I like SoLs and harems but wouldn't the action oriented anime be better for watching in a group?

Aw, I wish our school had an anime club but I think there are only five others in my year that just barely know what anime is. (And they watch Bleach).

I don't think there is anyone here that is such an extreme fan that they will walk around with accessories as if they were a nekomimi. Though it would be awesome to see people's reactions, and funny too.

Haha, I love Touhou comics/doujins.

I'm sorry if these are too explicit, I'm not too sure what I'm allowed to post with the kiddy censor on TIF:

How the heck did Touhou get such a big fanbase?

Oh well, I'm not complaining with the awesome material some circles make.

Though I wouldn't be a animal-like girl since I am a guy on Saturday of this week I am going to buy a tail(not cat though) and I plan on wearing that around school. So, you were saying?

Lack of self-respect and being an anime fan often go hand-in-hand. The rest of them are either normal members of society or neurotic, anxious, reclusive persons like myself. :V Being a hikikomori doesn't imply being an anime fan, or even being a NEET for that matter. I've known at least two people who did nothing but force themselves to school and then shut themselves in their rooms during their free time. I'm not having a dig at anyone - what most people do doesn't interest me terribly much.

Common things I get asked: "Don't you get bored?", "Aren't you lonely?", "Why don't you find something more productive to do?". No, not particularly, I don't know; my usual responses.

Anyway, I'm downloading Hayate S2 as I type this. I have around 3 episodes left of the first season and I plan to continue straight over to the second. I never thought I would make it through a 52-episode anime, but Hayate had me sold from about episode 4. One of my friends is endlessly [bleep]ing about how season 2 "just isn't as funny", but "just isn't as funny" by Hayate standards is still pretty damn hilarious. I'm looking forward to seeing how it all progresses!

I liked S2, most people would probably agree that it wasn't as funny as S1 but it actually follows the manga and reveals some plot so I liked it. The one thing that still bugs me is JC Staff, the colors were too bright o_o. One thing I wanna say that I love about Hayate is watching the shipping wars. It's really funny watching them complain about episodes with/without them and argue in general. I don't really care who he ends up with but I'm leaning a bit towards Hinagiku and Mysterious Girl A.

Still trying to finish Toradora right now and then I'll go watch some other romance-tsundere-Rie show lol. I think I might drop Honey and Clover, people say it's an amazing anime but the art and story doesn't really interest me right now.

I love JC Staff's style so that's probably going to swing S2 hugely in my favour. I saw a couple of screenshots of it and it looks incredibly pretty and well-drawn.

Toradora is a good show. Yeah, it's generic, but I found it highly entertaining. The second half of it is particularly good.

Wearing a tail around school translates to a self respect issue? How exactly?

You'll probably draw some amount of negative attention to yourself.

This kind of reminds me of a time when my friends at school tried to get me to crossdress for a charity event, as a nekomimi maid. This was back when I had long hair and looked young enough to pull off a convincing trap, mind. The rest of the story is nonexistent because I just couldn't live with the shame of my parents seeing me like that.

Because you're wearing a tail. To school. The fact that I have to explain why thats a bad thing is unbelievable.
