Karil xbow question

I just got 70 ranging and I have a quick question about Karil's crossbow. I was wondering about the bolt racks. My question is do you get 1 shot for every bolt rack? Or do you get like 5? And I heard you can't pick them up?

no they cannot be picked up and you only get 1 shot per rack

I think he means only people who don't think about what bow they use before using it use crystal bow. It costs WAY more and is WAY less effective than broad bolts. Sure, there are still noobs running around using low metal daggers, but it's still fair to say that steel daggers are outclassed.

cross bows beat normal bows hands down.

 

 

 

They are less costly on ammo, have more powerful amoo with special effects and free up your sheild slot meaning rangers can take on dragons and other hard hitting monsters that need a shield

Crystal bows are cheaper and faster than the Adamant bolts with rune crossbow if used correctly.

Not everything. I willl say a Crystal Bow is better for hybrids at DK, as you can wear a skill cape/fire cape instead of a ranger backpack. For general training the rune c'bow is the best hands down, but Crystal Bow still has a small few uses over the c'bow.

You can wear the skillcape anyway, you just spend a bit more on bolts. It's still cheaper than the crystal bow though (if you use broad bolts).

If I'm not mistaken, crystal bow shots cost more than 65gp each. So even if you left your bolts on the ground, you'd STILL come out ahead. And what do you want that cape slot for anyway? The accumulator has the best ranged bonus by far.

I've always wondered why people thought that not being able to pick up your ammo was better than having the choice to leave them on the ground...

 

 

 

As other have said, both of those are virtually useless(well not usless, but inefficient enough to be called that), and the ONLY plus with using a crystal bow is the increased range that you can attack from, which is rarely useful at all and almost never *needed*.
