Melos Posted August 31, 2008 Share Posted August 31, 2008 The fast dropping is all produced by the same GE update- Amounts needed are so much lower now, and when an item drops a little bit more people panic and it just comes down as a big snowball. They will probably fix it soon enough though(the update means that merchanters can make ridiculous amounts of money and normal people will lose alot of it just being in possession of the item). I sense a big economical crisis with high priced armor and weapons. This :thumbsup:. Bandos GS: Dropped 1.1m puttin it at 22.0m DFS: dropped 799.8k putting it at 16.5m Wolf mask: Hit 3.2m going up 153k Dark Bow: Went up 29k and its 1.1m D chain: dropped 361k putting it at 7.2m Dark Bow is being bought out at the moment, thus increasing price. Once I checke th prices of gs's o i could buy one. the ags was teh highest and zgs lowest. zgs is the most powerful weapon in runescape, so i was surprised taht it was low priced. ags's spec gices 25% mroe accuracy, i think. I think jagexis lowering the prices for an upcoming update- maybe the new quest has something to do with the gwd, or makes it easier to kill the gwd bosses and jagx dosent want people to be making a profit from it. I found a site that shows some secrets of merchanting on the ge:and there are price tops and bottoms (srry couldent get a better word); jagex sets them, and once an item's price rises to the top, it wont go further, anymore, not even if noboy's selling them and everyone's buying them. This once happened to blood talismans. If gs's prices are dropping 200k daily, jagex is defiantly doing something. Death should not be taken as 'the end,' but a very effective way to cut down taxes. Actually i BGS was dropping on AUG 17th, Jagex woun't change the economy in this game. There wasn't much usefulness to it until summoning batch two which was realesed only a couple of months ago, Which i think added the bunyip, not sure but the list is not in the summoning database at runescape.com The main use for summoning before was for fighting and fighting purposes mainly. It's more useful than Guthans, and while collectively more expensive than the set itself, is seen as a cheaper alternative to it. Besides, that set was way overdue for a price drop anyway. davidium Posted September 3, 2008 Share Posted September 3, 2008 the prices of GS and DFS and barrow equip etc aren't going to be going back up much...the reason they are dropping now is that jagex is going to offer the PvP update where they mention that "new high lvl 70+ equipment will be dropped along with hard hitting gear and experience modifying weapons...and pking will be a viable source of income again"...when these new weapons come out everyone will be rushing to get them the same way everyone rushed to get a GS when they first came out...so the prices of all these equipment you see aren't going to go back to their formal glory again... they will probably rise slightly again sometime soon but never reach their current value... maxed out melee on 10/10/08, current goal: 94/99 cookinglife may be unfair, but why can't it be unfair in my favor?my fake plant died because i forgot to pretend to water it Link to comment Share on other sites More sharing options...
