Yeah, I do find it funny a bunch of random kids on tip.it (no offense) magically happen to belong to the 0.05% to 2% of population that scores above 133 and up to 165 on IQ tests/are some child prodigy.

 

 

 

Far from "jealous", my score was 117 at sixteen years old, and I only ever have known 2 people (out of dozens of people I meet) who have scored mensa-level IQ, which somewhat fits with the statistic of a few % of the general population.

 

 

 

Really, an online test doesn't count at all. The moment I saw it rank me on 142 I knew it's false. I'm not equipped with that level of mathematical thinking, it's a load of b.s, and degrades people who can truly rank so high on IQ tests.

Do you even know what that site does? It's one of the most trusted websites in the world.

Real IQ tests are almost exclusively logic based questions that you don't need specific knowledge to answer (not things like "how many miles is the earth from the sun?") but rather questions where you are timed in doing a particular task, like putting a stack of cards in order. I remember I took an IQ test years ago back in about 3rd grade and a good portion of it consisted of me putting groups of cards with pictures on them in the order I thought they should go in (they all looked something like this but with no pictures, and a clear order they should go in IE one picture is of a guy in a dump truck, the next with the dump truck emptying its bed and the last with the truck driving off) while the person testing me timed how long it took to complete the tasks with a stopwatch.

 

 

 

 

 

That said, if you really did score that high on an IQ test, feel free to join Mensa. I am a member, and so far it has done nothing useful for me exempt sending me a neat little membership card. Supposedly they can help you do other things as well, but I have not participated in any of it.

Just took iqtest.com to see how well I would do. While watching a scary movie and eating my lunch, I scored a 136. Now that's a little higher than the score I had on a real test a few weeks back (was over a few hundred questions) while totally concentrated. Now tell me, is a test of 40 questions with a 50% chance of getting any question correct very reassuring? :-#

I had like 119 a few years back (fourth grade, I think), and knew it was [cabbage]. Silly e-IQs. I might hover around 120 at this time, but no way back then.

What have you achieved in your life? :) As I got older, I have realised that being smart might give you an advantage, but that it is completely dwarfed compared to working hard and having an open mind.

You just made them have a stronger belief.

Although I appreciate your intelligence, I believe that you are showing off. It is common knowledge that having an Intelligence Quotient of 141 or above marks you as an intellectually superior individual. Take it from a fellow genius, it's best not to broadcast that, because people will think that you're a [puncture]. I could very well say that both of my parents are in MENSA and that I have a 167 IQ, and that would be correct, but it wouldn't make my status any larger, it would merely portray myself as someone who is arrogant.

 

 

 

As well, if you used an online IQ test instead of an official IQ test, then there are much greater chances of it being incorrect. Can you confirm for us as to the origin of the test?

On a more serious note, do you guys really believe these tests? Hmm, lets see. There's a website that sells Certificates and plaques that say your name and your IQ. Are they going to tell that your IQ is 85, and then try and sell you that on a certificate for 20 bucks? :lol: Can't you see the motive behind giving everyone a high score on these "IQ tests"?

 

To anyone who still believes in these tests, go back and answer every question wrong. I answered all "B's" on one and it said I had an IQ of 135 (and then offered to sell me a plaque with the score on it for $15. Lol

Lowest I've been able to get so far. scored 83 answering all the question false and 84 answering all of them true. So it looks like honesty does pay ;) Really want to see if I can get a score of 0 so I can make a career in politics. :lol:

The IQtest.com thing said mine was 131, but in reality it's probably closer to 100 or maybe 110. I don't think IQ testing even really shows if a person's smart, there's a lot more to take into consideration than just someone's ability to answer some questions.
