I prefer to type out my words and if I find something funny, I'll put a "haha" in there or some other form of identifiable laughter. When somone says "Lol, guess what I did today?" I picture it as "Heh, guess what I did today?" Or "Ha, guess...". Only Ha, not Haha. To express anger, so to speak, you would use CAPITALIZED WORDS right? "WHAT KIND OF IDIOT ARE YOU?!" Lol isn't like "HAHAHAHA" type anymore, just like a "Ha" or "Heh". "Lol" is what all the "cool" people say, and I'm not cool enough to say it. Therefore, I say "lawl" and "lulz" instead. Say what you want, I'm sure they're both originated from 4chan or something, but it's not like I've ever really used 4chan. Really though, I just prefer them. "Lol" is so...Bland. I use it as a reflex to anything that's an obvious joke and doesn't get a laugh out of me. Likewise, or at least it was when I played RuneScape, and for a while afterwards. Also, like Pyromancer, I use "rofl" if I actually laugh. Though I never am on the floor laughing, and no, my [wagon] has never fallen off. When I text though pretty much everything is lol. It just depends on how I feel. If I feel like saying lol. I used it. sometimes I don't. I usually use it to show that I;m amused. slightly amused. if I really laughed out loud.. I say so.and, if I'm more amused than a regular lol, I used rofl, lmao, lmfao, roflmao, hahah. It is even more of an embarrassment when people say lol, or lawl as its pronounced, instead of actually laughing or being quiet. In lamens terms, lol is [bleep]ing [developmentally delayed]ed. If you choose your beliefs/lifestyle simply based on what your parents want, then you are a weak minded individual and are not even worthy of calling yourself a person.
