Skillers Vs PKers

Ok, first things first;

 

This wasn't made as a who is better than who thread - flame war starter - or bla bla anything thing of the like bla bla.

 

 

 

 

 

When I used to play before I quit in 04/05 pkers an skillers where one in the same, MOST people did everything, after a while people became more focused on either one or the other but people didn't hate each other for what they did in this game either they would mingle with each other, or they wouldn't, no hatred for a woodcutter, no hatred for a pker.

 

 

 

The thing I don't and can't understand is how and why, people over well more so the last 3 years. Is how people have come up with the attitude of pkers are smelly little arrogant kids whom want every bit of gold you earned "pk'd" with in but a few seconds. Then the other attitude is, from what I can see - Pkers think people who skill are mindless for clicking on tree's all day as they play.

 

 

 

People play a game how they want yet on this one, your flamed for doing what you want to do.

 

 

 

Now, I will say I play this game only for the player vs player and also monster hunting, it will get my heart racing fighting a tough player or monster compared to that skill lvl goal being acheived. Now I have done both skilling and pvp/monster hunting, and I chose the specific part of the game I enjoy most. Yet I find if I go to do something different or tell people my stats I get flamed (in game or forum) for having so many lvl 1 skills - yet I have done it all before but nobody listens so I've gave up defending my self, either I get called a lier or just flamed for what ever...

 

 

 

But, where did all this anger for each other come from? I looked back on topics when the wildy was removed, alot of people cryed an yelled - yet not long later people wanted nothing to hear of it. Fair enough you can only listen to people cry for so long till you're sick of it, but isn't that how come JagEx would have gotten some of there idea's from, in amongst all the crying, some people had good ideas an thoughts on the matter.

 

 

 

One bloke in a thread even went as far as to say;

 

God damnit.. why can't they wait until December to release PK worlds? I want those losers to suffer as much as they can.

 

I don't get how this bloke can have this attitude towards one section of players. Why are pkers losers, an why do they/we have to suffer?

 

People have said pkers are very arrogant, mouthy, 'make up honor' rules that they don't abide by. Yet I disagree, I feel as though in every group there are good an bad. This bloke here is one example of how there is good an bad, obviously a skiller, an obviously arrogant. Now I could dig up something simmilar from a pker showing is arrogance, but wont - But plenty out there I may add.

 

 

 

I have been on an off this forum for many years - And do remeber when this forum was mostly pkers - Now seems to be skillers - fair enough, just an open, honest, no flaming discussion is all I ask for. And thank you for views/replys on this matter.

 

 

 

 

 

One last comment; I've tryed to word this the best I could with out taking sides or anything of the sort.

Skillers are just mad because pkers can make 10mill in a few clicks while they have to spend hours and hours, what they dont see is that what they can get in 1 click, they also can lose in 1 click. All these pk videos only show the great pks and how they have pked hundreds of millions of GEEPEEEEESSSS :D. But they never show the times where they died and lost alot to.

Yup, the feud between killers and skillers has been going on for a long time, I never really fight for either side because they're both right, but at the same time they're both wrong. Anyone who's narrow minded enough only to see skiller and killer has no valid opinion in my eyes.

I dunno what's so fun about skilling tbh. Click tree... Wait... repeat until full... bank... yawnnnn. Honestly, this is my opinion only, but really, what the hell is fun about clicking on trees and logs and stuff LOL.

 

Pking on the other hand is fun, thats why I'm working on pking stats from now on.

The street is the economy, and before Dec. 10th. 07. we were holding hands in that respective.

 

 

 

But on a personal level it's the same as well. Only the immature skillers/pkers are going to make fun of another type of character in runescape. The mature and established players of Runescape don't see people as different types of characters, but as friends. It may sound all lovey duffy but it's the truce. If someone gets mad, or insults for no reason over such trivial things, just forget about them, they aren't worth knowing or getting muted for. Learn this and then you'll find out that no one of each group is really bad.

But seriously I don't know pkers couldn't live without us because we supply potions/food and with no pkers skillers have been losing so skillers do lose some but not as much as a pker would from no skillers. It's just going to happen because somewhere the arogant kid that pks will make 10 skillers mad at him and ruin it for everyone. Even though honor pking is stupid those mage pkers bought most of my 1.3M natures I sold at 290ea so I can't complain.

I enjoy the game on both sides. Although skilling can be tedious sometimes, when you finally reach your goal, you just feel good. Pking, although I get totally frustrated when I'm losing, when you win, you just feel good, and the items you got from the kills before the updates, made pking feel better. I think that both sides have their pros and cons, and they look at eachother based on their cons. TBH I don't think Runescape would be the game I love today, if it didn't have the option to spend hours to raise my skills, or the option to conquer my opponents and quinch my thirst for GLORY! :mrgreen: (I might've over did it a little but you get my point. : )

Whether skiller, or quester, pker or merchant, all groups of players hold one truth to be self evident:

 

The majority of the vocal are immature, obnoxious, greedy, selfish children who can barely spell "Jagex" with self-conflicting expectations that are never, EVER satisfied with ANY update, no matter what and will go to the great pathetic low of "rioting" in a video game (Sitting in Falador spamming @@@@@) to whine about a non-issue or why they can't break certain rules.

 

 

 

The argument of which area of gameplay is best can be summed up as trying to figure out who's winning in the loser bracket of a tournament. The Alien Vs Predator "Whoever wins, we all lose" can best sum up the content you'll find when fanboys of "pee kaying" , "skilllingue", "kwesteeng", and "mer chun ting" clash in an all out struggle to see who can best put the words "I win, you suck" in a manner that doesn't seem to forward and threatening.

 

 

 

This whole argument could be put to rest if people would just put their heads back at their computers, and stop worrying about how other people play the game. All of this starts because people cannot mind their own freaking business, and have to put other people down for the way they do ANYTHING, and this is coming from someone who was scrutinized for 15 years by a sibling on everything miniscule down to how I hold a fork when i'm NOT eating.

 

 

 

Stop bickering on who's way of playing is better, more fulfilling, will lead to a better life, give you bigger manhood, or whatever you're comparing nowadays. Go back to playing the game, and realize that even if someone plays Runescape by bashing their head on the keyboard repeatedly, it's their way of playing and none of your business to tell them that they suck, they're stupid, they have no life, have no friends, etc, because of it

People will always call down one another or set labels to make themselves feel better. That is what happens when you get a massive amount of people who become jealous of one another, interacting with eachother.
