Fire Wave uses more fire runes than air, so people might use the fire staff. Fire staffs are used in alching, super heat, etc. Only time anyone uses fire runes is in combat spells (other than fire wave), and quick alching at gw or other combat areas. A dag kings trip usually uses up 4-7k fire runes, and its cheaper than using air runes even though fire wave uses fewer airs than fires. Proud owner of a Quest cape! I am going to get lots of fire runes for ice guy for desert tresure True. But I garentee you, unless you're planning to teleport to trollheim, ape atoll or varrock 190,000 times, you're not about to dent my fire supply.
