okay so currently i died( don't want to mention where :oops: ) and i recently wasted all my food. and now i can't find any food. Even at max on ge these guys won't sell. plus i lost some of my armor but i can't buy it back.... guess what? no one is selling any armor or weapons -.-....so far i'm hating this pvp thing. :evil: this really stinks =/ but i guess it was kinda my own fault....i should've stocked up on food before update came out. guess stupidity got me again

Many players have figured out that prices are rising do to a HUGE increase in demand for exactly the things that you want. If you were smart you would have stocked up before the release of pvp so just wait for the prices to re-adjust and you'll be able to buy stuff again.

When you can't buy it, it means there is too much demand, not that they're not selling. Really, it's not that difficult of a concept. This is about the third thread I've seen claiming that nothing is selling because their BUY offers aren't going through.

He's saying that the other people don't sell, not that his stuff isn't selling. Which would be correct if it wasn't for the fact that there are people selling, just many more buying for that price. Hence the shortage.

 

 

 

I do agree, it's starting to get ridiculous the number of people having trouble expressing themselves when all they want to say is "I can't buy stuff at ge".

Well I, for one, am loving all the food shortages. I have 22K monks in my bank and the price on them just keeps growing and growing at a rate I've never seen nor will see again. The only thing to figure out is when to sell before the market gets flooded when they peak.

 

 

 

Anyway that was kind of OT, but I did try and buy a rune plate the day PVP came out for some F2P adventures but no luck. Really haven't tried since then though, I don't enjoy PKing that much.

i think you will find that a lot of people are selling sharks and other food/pots. the problem is, that with the increased demand, a lot of people have been putting offers in the ge, which means you end up at the back of a very long queue to get the items.

same, killers needs materials, thus skillers need materials thus i make a ton from (hush hush). you'll be waiting at least 2+ weeks before prices stabalise. i'd say during then you level up your skills and get your own materials cause things are onyl going to rise.

You should make your money off SELLING things like this as buying is just increasing the prices.

It may be just me, but if I go to buy anything, I can't get it on max, and if I sell something on min, noone buys. This is addy stuff, and my own personal preference for pk - cheap and not bad protection at my level.

All that rune junk from treasure trails I used to alch can now be sold max. Screw alching rune scimmys for 19k when I can get 30k for them. I'm already 99 cooking, but food and raw fish sell instantly at max.

Well, in all fairness, you knew it was coming in October - JaGeX even said on its updates when it was coming out.

 

 

 

I'm just trying to figure out if the Santa suit will include a hat - if so, I gotta get rid of mine, if not... well, I'm just going to hang onto it a bit longer.

There is shortage because prices are controlled by Jagex (the 5% limit). The claims that the prices are controlled by players is just propaganda. Proof: when prices are correct, supply and demand are both equal so there is no shortage or oversupply. Everything except rare items are renewable and easily accessible for everyone, so the only thing that can cause shortage is price control.

 

 

 

When demand increases, price increases which makes supply increase. The 5% limit makes the price unable to rise enough, so the supply won't increase enough to meet the demand.

Try manually buying armor outside of the GE, and fish your own food and cook it. That's what fishing skills are for. And if you have high smithing go make your own weapons and then no worries about the GE. :)
