I sing it on occassion myself, but I've never heard anyone credit me for it. Bob Dylan wrote it.

She made a new version of a pop song, who cares? I've listened to metal for over 9 years (I'm now 18, got Master of Puppets when I was 9) and I couldn't care less if she made a new version of some new Metallica's song or nu metal song. Pop is pop, no matter who made it.

I hated it. If she wanted to sing a metallica song, I would not have suggested fuel. It was absolutely terrible. I have also heard her cover of chop suey...rather, I listened to about 10 seconds, then I stopped the song. She butchered it to hell. grr..

My parents have had the (mis)fortune of seeing her sing live (New Years celebrations in New York) and she was awful. Out of tune, out of sync. She was the worst singer my parents have ever seen.

 

 

 

Covering songs isnt a new concept however and theres no point moaning about it too much. Scissor sisters released a dire version of Comfortably Numb by Pink Floyd but im not crying about it.

That SOAD cover has been floating around for a good couple of years now (or at least a live version anyway). She forgets the words half way through and it just sounds terrible.

 

 

 

I agree with what matt said though, i remember seeing her sing live at the Brits and i can honestly say it remains the worst live performance i've ever seen.

What you guys Fail to realize is, She has written her own songs. THEY SUCKED. "You're a sk8r boi, i like sk8r bois, so you're a sk8r boi ETC ETC ETC" Its horrible music! She ends up covering truly powerful songs by Metalists and Others (Greenday Basket Case) To try and seem like a good musician. I threw up in my mouth when I heard her cover of Fuel, because I'm a HUGE metal head and it Disgraced the "hardcore-ness" of the song (It just was icky XD). It makes me semi-angry that some Pop nut-job thinks she can sing metal because her song writing skills are horrible. She's ugly, Untalented, and Covers good music. Nothing more to say.
