F2P has to many Disadvantages in runescape. I for one beleive that the forums should be open to all players of runescape. There are several intellegant F2P Players that would do great on the forums.. but who are F2P. I honestly just beleive that's somthing that the F2P Wants, and Deserves.

as you said, there are many intelligent f2ps. All 100 of them. There are already too many p2per's that dont use proper grammar, spelling, gibberish, spam etc. Jagex has already given f2p a LOT. They gave them able to vote on polls and numerous mini games.

F2p doesnt deserve what p2per's get when they have to PAY FOR IT.

I would love F2P forums <3: , but I think there would have to be some kind of filter. Time spent logged on, skills, or something in that category. Otherwise, the forums will be filled with spam posts and newbies asking how to get to Varrock.

Off topic.. Update my dmr points, pl0x ::'

i agree with this, maybe only limiting them to only specific forums?

No thanks. I never used them even when I was p2p, TIF is plenty for me. The [bleep]ing and moaning from all the elitist members would just make it terrible.

Put a total level filter?

Let them come to these forums :D

But as an F2P myself, I don't like it.

The forums would turn into a real mess.

Accounts will be created just to spam the forums down.

I don't think we really need them anymore for selling/buying with the GE.

That's why I suggest a limit of some sort, like total level. I mean, a f2p'er with 700 or 800 total has to be somewhat intelligent, right? At least more so than most of the members...

that's why i cam here :D

by making a forum for f2pers there would be more spam posts and random gibberish etc. There should be a forum that maybe filters out like the hours logged in etc. or maybe just a plain seperate forum. I dont think that Jagex will ever make a forum for f2pers because its just one of those things that f2pers wont have and it makes them try to become members. Like most of the reasons why f2pers become members is because of bank space/more skills/minigames/areas/more items/more features (forums etc)

this is just one of those things that wont happen like giving f2p more bank space without giving them a whole new content of items. But i wish this could happen

When I was a member, the forums were still cluttered with spam. I assume they still are today. However, f2p forums would be horrendous. They would be great for those who would use them for a purpose, but others would make it a bad situation.

Total level (the amount of f2p skills) * 50 requirement, limited to certain forums, and 1 post per 12 hours limit, which can be decreased if the person seems to behave well.

Seems nice.

My goals:
5M coins: 4350K+ coins 200k+ items - 2 dec
5M coins - 16 dec
I have gotten my 5M by christmas.

-bah this is only here for historical purposes now, I got 20m+ already

"fail, well atleast the title,i wont read it with that colours"

"If you hadn't posted in rainbow I would actually give this a proper read"

"Colours suck."

*I remove colours*

"Where did all the colors go!? This is now 40% more likely to be tl;dr'd due to the lack of colors."

The RuneScape Official Forums started out F2P, but due to excessive spamming and people creating new accounts to spam the forums, they closed it to P2P only.

The same thing would happen again if RSOF were reopened to the F2P public.

Besides, why would you want to post on those idiotic forums when you have TIF? OR any other fansite forums.

I think putting a filter on would dramatically decrease the amount of spam the boards would receive.

++A section for FTP. ANYONE can post in it (ftp and members) but FTP couldnt post anywhere else but there.

++A requirement of 750 total level to post on the forums.

This would make it much more balanced, as only serious players would come on. And any forum rule breaking would result in one black mark for a "forum offense". After 3 forum offenses, you get a 3 day ban, after 6 offenses, a 10 day ban, and 10 offenses, permanent ban.

CS is a bit overworked as it is. But yeah +1 for the filter.

Put a total level filter?

I disagree with this. Not only does this limit pures of any type, you could have a genius, grammar-perfect person with no skills on RuneScape, and an idiotic, arrogant, Level 126.

Perhaps a test?

Easy-ish questions (How many Quest Points do you need to get into the Champoions' Guild, at what level can you cut yew logs, etc...)

But really, I think it's unnecessary.

That knowledge is primitive and can be found by anyone with an IQ of 8.

Total level only ensures that the person either is mature, or smart enough to not risk their account with forum privileges, and, with my blackmark system (handed out by forum mods, for the person who said CS being overworked), players would take the forums MUCH more serious.

No support, members pays to get privilege in-game and on the website, and one of them includes the forums(actually, theres no other website things that get more access if you are member, but whatever). If it was open to everyone, do you imagine the USELESS SPAMMING and all the noob stuff like "0mfg f2p should has g0d$w0rd$!11!1!1"
