I'm trying to find wallpapers, and aside from having them made what is a good source for finding them?

Thoroughly retired, may still write now and again

Google Images can sometimes turn up alright images.

A tip. Type in your subject, then your resolution.

Example: I type 'Muse 1280x' into Google Images and it returns images that are 1280x1024, 1280x960 etc.

It's pretty hit and miss though. Sometimes you can find some good stuff, other times you get junk.

These are two of my favorite sites for wallpapers:

http://wall.alphacoders.com/

http://interfacelift.com/wallpaper_beta ... /date/any/

Deathmath, here's four more, all of which I'm surprised that no one mentioned...

MacDesktops.com (http://macdesktops.com/)

Visual Paradox (http://www.visualparadox.com/)

Digital Blasphemy's Free Section (http://www.digitalblasphemy.com/freegallery.shtml)

Dual Monitor Backgrounds (http://www.dualmonitorbackgrounds.com/)

I hope they all help you. I've had tons of different wallpapers on my various desktop layouts, thanks to them.

To be perfectly honest, I don't think that most of the pictures I saw on those sites deserve recognition.

I don't have any sites, but if you want any wallpapers including this guy:

WONGTONG IS THE BEST AND IS MORE SUPERIOR THAN ME

#1 Wongtong stalker.

Im looking for some No Limit soldiers!

MY last few have been a variety of pictures I took when I went to South Africa at new year. Before that I used a couple of fractals that I drew/generated in the GIMP.

Apologies as this is thread hijacking, but does anyone know of a program which I can use on Windows XP to rotate the backgrounds?

Hmm... I guess that depends on how much a person likes CGI imagery... And to be reminded of what is real and what is not... Oh well, to each their own on this one. \'

I use www.interfacelift.com myself.

It has a lot of high quality work, and you can get the wallpaper in a variety of screen resolutions.

Take a picture of yourself, and use that as your background.

It really brings a good mood to you everyday, if you check your computer constantly. I'm not joking, there was an article about the benefits of this on Wired.com sometime last year.

Try it at least, I did, and I loved it.

Wow. Just WOW.

Some of the best, highest quality wallpapers I've ever seen.

Now if only that site would not go trimming off image parts just to fit the dimensions you're asking for. I'd prefer a full download at the requested dimensions that I can tweak myself. :(

Why don't you download the full resolution and tweak it yourself when you can? You do not ab[bleep]ely have to download the size of your screen.
