Good inventory for lesser demons

I am guessing you're F2P.

If so,

Tuna = big yes.

And a varrock tele = another big yes.

The only thing you could possibly be forgetting is a strength potion (4).

Its worth one space. ;)

I dont need a siggy no moar.

Stats, equipment, and budget, please?

If you have 55 mage, bring alching runes. Trouts are probably the cheapest food you should consider using to train (they heal 7 hp each).

The previous poster's right, you should bring a strength potion. The extra exp is worth the cost.

And for the absolute cheapskate, get an explorer's ring, the type that gives you teleports to the cabbage patch.

If your trips take longer than 30 minutes each (they should) then just get out of the dungeon or find a safespot and use the home teleport.

Hm...when I was f2p I usually fished my own food on karamja, then trained on the skeletons there

And if you are extremely cheep and lazy, you can usually find discarded tunas here and there from the swordie fishers

So maybe find a world with a crawded dock and just loot and cook there.

Just bring food, and a lobster cage, or harpoon, you can just train, fish, cook, and train again. Great way, you wont even have to leave the island, you can even get alch runes from both the lessers and moss giants on the island.

My Stats are: 58 Atk 59 Str 51 Def and 57 Hp. My equipment is full rune with a charged rune berserker and scimmy. I'm pretty poor and don't skill much so my budget is about 5k. Thanks for all the tips.

I highly suggest you train on something else other than lessers. I suggest something more on your level but still profitable such as moss giants, roach workers or maybe white/black knights.

Why?

1. You'll get hit less often. The max hits of the suggest NPCs are either the same or lower, but they definitely don't hit nearly as often. This will lead to you using a lot less food.

2. You'll also probably hit more often. I'm pretty sure level 30-40 Knights and 42 mossies have less defence than a 82 lesser (but I could be wrong about the knights). More hits = more xp.

3. Contrary to popular belief, the drops from lessers aren't even that good or consistent. They have the prized rune med and will drop a boat load of fire runes, but rune meds are quite rare. In addition to that, they don't drop any bones at all so you're out of luck with prayer xp. Cockroach workers will most likely bring you a higher valued inventory per trip.

4. White/black knights and roach workers are a lot less crowded. The lower competition means more monsters to kill.

F2P?

Tuna, I agree. If you have money though, take Anchovy Pizzas. If you are a high level (ex. Don't get hit much at all by the Lessers, ~70+ def) then take cakes. If you are ranging, take wines.

Varrock tele? Nah, Falador tele. It's closer to the bank, which is the important thing. Plus it's more xp, which is a nice plus.

Strength potion if you are meleeing. This is worth the space, take 2-3 depending on your level (eg, how long your food will last).

Alching runes, of course.

But...lessers are terrible xp anyway...

flesh crawlers are much much better for your lvl and you also only need trout to kill em and should last awhile there, pick up only gem drops to recoup food and pots (if used) costs

word of advice:

dont train melee on lessers unless ur pro which is like 80s or 90s attack defense and strength. for now train on flesh crawlers and the spiders in the SOS. they give nice xp and their max hit is low so that it will allow u to stay there for some time and ull burn less money.

Lesser demons suck for xp, suck for drops, they're in an isolated area, they hit hard, and they're often crowded.

Why are you killing them? If you want xp, do giant spiders. If you want drops, do cockroach workers. If you want a balance between the two, do ice warriors/giants or ankous.

Ah, this reminds me about the noob on the Runescape forums who was upset with the quest "Cold War" because apparently his grandparents died in the war. :wall:

When I was your level I killed moss giants, the drops aren't fantastic but they drop big bones which you can either sell or bury for a nice prayer bonus. I wouldn't bother with ice giants yet unless you go wilderness as the ones in the ice cavern are usually crowded and you will have too much trouble with the ice warriors trying to attack you that you'll hardly get to attack the ice giants.

The system you do of fishing on Karamja to replenish supply sounds like the best idea for F2p and its the strategy I use ::'

saves all the teleporting back and forth.

Actually, if your looking to save money, stay on Karamja. Bring a tinderbox, axe, and lobby cage/harpoon and catch your own food. This way training won't cost you a thing. Train on the skeletons near Elvarg, not lessers. However, if you want to profit a bit at the cost of exp, then you could try mossies. Now, you could train on the Giant Spiders in the SOS, they definitely are the best thing to train on in F2P, however contrary to what Yomyth105 said, you will lose money. Spiders don't drop anything so the only items you'll get are the ones from random events. Although if you raise your def to about 60-ish plus, flesh crawlers are very good.

P.S. Lesser Demons suck, at every level. I actually conducted a test, and on average, Lesser Demons brought in about 10k exp less (per hour) than what I got from training on the giant spiders.

100% F2P

To all who were wondering, I train on lessers because i thought they were pretty good exp. I don't know much about training stats effectively, and I'm trying to learn how to do this. From all the suggestions, it seems that white knights or moss giants would be better. Which one would have better exp per hour?

Flesh Crawlers of course.

Best melee training is:

??? from 3-~50

Flesh Crawlers from ~50-~90

Giant Spiders from 90+

Actually, I would still recommend Flesh crawlers up until level 100. That's the point when they start becoming the better xp. This is from my experience, and that giants are really never too good.

(Note I have not tried Ice Giants after 115 combat, I will once I become f2p again.)
