I was randomly wondering which sort of art is most popular in the Gallery. One would assume digital art... But perhaps people who are known for their sigs also do other sorts of art?

 

 

 

I draw mostly, using pencil and ink for lineart, and usually colored pencil but sometimes marker. I do some sigs in GIMP and I've tried my hand at drawing in GIMP... Not very pretty, as I don't have a tablet. I think if I had a decent camera I'd probably take a lot of photos; but I don't have a camera so too bad.

 

 

 

So what sort of art do you do, and what programs/mediums/cameras do you use?

Mainly digital art in Gimp; signatures/LPs and pixel art. Although I do draw 'IRL' quite often, most of that is just sophisticated scribbles on small pieces of paper.

Digital Art/Vector/Chalk Pastels.

I draw, and paint, mainly acrylics. Don't paint all that often though, but when I do, I love it.

 

And ofcourse Vector. I've tried pretty much every form of digital art out there, and this one suited me the most, so I stuck with it.

I take quite a lot of photos and edit them in photoshop. I also used to make signatures (if you could count that). I love painting but I haven't done anything so far (may do a piece of work with oil paints for a gallery opening soon). Haven't done any pencil drawings in a loooong time though. I've tried vectoring a few times and liked it but I haven't had time to try and improve myself.

 

 

 

I have been experimenting with charcoal a lot recently. It's quite fun but also frustrating and I think I'm getting better.

 

 

 

I take AS art so we use a lot of different mediums a lot of the time. Recently we have used brusho inks on cotton fabric.

I mainly do digital art using The GIMP. I also have a camera, but it is pretty crappy, pocket camera Olympus [mju] 760.

My most common is photography, with my crappy little camera, and I do digital art with Paint.Net/GIMP.

Well.....I mainly do signatures and photography, but I draw and colour sometimes.

Hmm, to be honest I'm complete crap at anything other than digital art. Although I have done quite a bit of stuff that the gallery hasn't seen, some stuff that I haven't been bothered to post and other stuff that's just... :uhh: Some stuff I might post though.

 

 

 

I'm doing something with pastels now in visual art (A class the Gallery inspired me to take) but it's not coming to much. Not oil pastels.

Oh, and if we're counting various forms of digital art as mediums (which technicaly they aren't, but whatever) I've tried... well I've probably tried about any type of digital art there really is. I really want to try a digipaint but I just can not justify the price of a good drawing tablet, and I suck with a mouse.

From where I left off. I do web design too, did some stuff for TIF a few months ago, the only bit I dared show anyone. I did some more recent stuff, but it rendered so awful on anything but FF I dumped it.

 

Now we were supposed to do some stuff with PS in Art, but the computers are complete crap and the money isn't there. I told the teacher about Gimp so we'll see what happens.
