I like it :) . I've never tried a Tech sig myself though, so Id on't know anything about them. Looks good to me though. 8/10?

Boarder is a simple tutorial, and all it is is a ok background and a stolen picture.

i dont get how you can be so mad at things like that when everybody does it. i mean, what do you expect to happen? everybody sets up this example that you should go to google and find your picture. why else would they be there? so you can use them. pictures are ment to be used, its not being used for cash profit, and its being made into decent art. i would be honored actually if somebody put a char of mine in there sigs. but mine are so ugleh :P

 

 

 

 

 

 

 

 

 

 

 

i like it all except the border, imo its almost the focal point. i keep focusing on the border and not the sig... maybe make it thinner?

Try and find some constructive criticism rather than jumping on the anti-source pic bandwagon. He's not selling it. Grow up.

 

 

 

 

 

 

 

The border is very nicely done even tho it is a tut. The textures on it and the colours are right but I dont think it works in this particular sig.

 

 

 

I dont know if you did the linework yourself or if its a brush but i think its pretty cool whatever.

 

 

 

 

 

 

 

The main part of the background is pretty good imo, nice brushes and filters well done not really much else to say as it only takes up a very small part of it.

 

 

 

 

 

 

 

The render is ok and its been nicely blended in but im not sure what its even supposed to be lol. Perhaps make it a bit clearer next time round.

 

 

 

 

 

 

 

The thing that lets the sig down the most however is the text. Its a good font (broken15 i think) but its certainly not suited to a bevel The shading on the text and the dark outline make it look very out of place. Flatten it, lighten the border to a darker shade of mustard and then brush over it a tad with a few dirty fuzzy brushes to make it look a bit more industrial.

 

 

 

 

 

 

 

Conclusion, work on your text definitly and try and make the lineart more of a bigger deal. Perhaps try taking out a premade render unless its critical to the piece and last of all, good luck. :D

I would give a lot of C&C, but it seems that 90% of the people that I sat there explaining everything to didn't listen, at all. Pictures like that are not ment to be used, they are artwork from another person. A game render is something another person or team of people created. Simply I am getting tired of it. I used to give big C&C's, and I still do when I see something to where the person did give an honest effort, but here I was merly explaining in quite a short manner that stolen images + tutorial boarder does not equal a unique, or good, image.

 

 

 

 

 

 

 

you can complain about me complaining (lol?) but after trying to C&C a ton of grunge pictures, and gettting 90% of people to just kind of turn their head around, I've now gone to just C&C something that isn't ripping. The problem I see about this is that if you were the one who created those images, if you had a lot of talent for that type of thing, your sigs should sell for millions.

 

 

 

 

 

 

 

But no, someone can easily just get it off of google, and "wallah". Fact is, its the same exact thing as going around and putting your name on a sig that isn't yours.

 

 

 

 

 

 

 

 

 

 

 

Well, Guess its back to just not saying anything on these type of posts. Madeof12une, if you actualy make an image without a stolen picture, I'll be more than happy to C&C it. But right now there isn't much to C&C... considering half of it is covered with the tech boarder+image.

The sig I am usuing curently is probaly the only sig i have had related in any way to guns. Way to go trying to get a low blow.

 

 

 

 

 

 

 

 

 

 

"just because they do it differently than me" - Well, the way they do it is uhm... well, illegal. If you didn't make something, it has no right to be in your image, unless of course you have permision to use it (aka a stock site)

not much more to say. you don't have a clue why i am "whining" anyways. Just to tell you, is that I am getting sick and tired of seeing every new "tech/grunge/abstract" sig with a stolen picture in them. I've always hated it, but recently motivated again by Jeppoz's post, I again am going to try and bring out the fact that it is wrong.
