Ok, im not so sure, and i may seem like a total dumba**. but i heard that the drop rate for avies changed, so i sure enough packed up my stuff and went there last week. hadnt been there in about a month. after a little while of killing, i compared the drop rate to my loot. it did seem that they now dropped them 1 in every 6 or 7 for me as opposed to one in every 4 like they used to. this is ofcourse with the ring of wealth and all. they did however seem to drop alot of rune daggers in place of them. over 20 in that one trip....as if that pays for not droping bars.

 

 

 

and so i was wondering if it was true or if it was just me, and if the drop rates had really changed for the worse? has anyone else felt this or has a comment on this? jw

I assume your talking about the drop rate of addy bars? You may just be unlucky, although ive heard a few accounts of less than usual drop rates, nothing conclusive though.

They've been out for so long I highly doubt they changed the drop rate.

1st, where you killing avies? and 2nd, usually by the time i'm at 40 kc offa avies, i have maybe 28 bars if im lucky. i killed 12 in a row once b4 i got one bar drop!

killed 454 aviansies and got 432 bars yesterday so I really doubt the nerfed them. probably just bad luck.

i thought ROW increases the rune drop and lowers the addy bars drop? go without it

Yep, that's true. use archer ring instead, if you can afford them

I went with my usual setup last week and at 300 kills I usually have 300 bars ish, however this time I had half that amount at 150.

 

 

 

I put it down to bad luck but if other people are noticing this too, maybe not?

 

 

 

I really hope it hasn't been hit with the nerf-bat, I don't think I could handle RCing for cash again...

Nope, no nerf as far as I can see. You are just unlucky. Even know I have my addy bar drop rate beyond my kill rate. 432 kills, 484 bars.

 

 

 

I have been down at aviansies fro an average of 1.2k kills for around 25 trips since August, and I haven't felt or suspected a nerf.

I haven't been at Aviansies for quite some time now, but I can't believe that Jagex would have changed the drop rate. They have been around for a very long time, these aviansies, and if they changed the drop rate I'm rather sure of that if they did so they would tell us.

No, the drop rate didn't change. ROW makes aviansies drop more rune items, that's probably why you got less bars then usual. I usually have around 300KC and 270 bars, thats with 75 ranged and 52 prayer, 18 prayer potions. (my rune pure yes.)

the drop rates ar the same as allways, im down there atm whit 722 kills 708 bars and abouth 360k in alchs.

Jagex releases D-PLATE, makes it really low.

 

Nerfs the chances of slices and the lv for smithing the plate is 92(?)

 

Addy bars are the main source of smithing xp.

 

Avianes are the main source of the bars.

 

Less bars = less smithers.

 

 

 

So if the bars go up in price over the new week, then I'll guessing they got nerf it they can't get bought up like they used to before W.G.S ?

I go to Aviansies all the time. I don't think there has been a change. Sometimes I get unlucky like that too, it usually gets better if you tank. As far as I know there hasn't been a change. Godspeed.

They probably didn't nerf them, although I haven't been on an Aviansie trip in months. Supposedly, they nerfed them then and the drops were supposedly lower. This rumor was what turned me off to Aviansies. However, I doubt that they nerfed them because even with the rumored drop rate changes, I still made a decent amount of cash from the alchs and bars.

I don't think they have been nerfed. Just talked to a guy who just finished a trip 200 bars over kc. 2.2 kc, 2.4bars. So I think no.

I'm heading to Aviansies now, if I remember, I'll post my kc and drops and we'll see
