I got a good idea for runescape next year. How about when Christmas time comes around they have a cover of snow. Like the world gets for Christmas time. They make everything more like it actually "snowed" all over runescape. What do you think?

Its a generally good idea, wish it would happen, but the amount of lag and length of time it would take is like ..

It would take a lot of time to cover the whole world of Runescape in snow, but it would be nice.

1) Actually have it snow, similar to the Christmas event where you made snowballs?

 

2) Simply cover the ground with snow, similar to the Relleka hunter area?

 

3) Cover the ground with snow, but allow interactions, similar to the ice by the Head Snow Imp?

 

 

 

I'll tell you right now I'd be very annoyed with number 1.

that would be cool but there are many countries (southern hemisphere) that have xmas in the summer. But jagex doesnt care too much about that since they r already making it xmas even and not lets say kwanzaa. and they have used snow before...

I mean like just on ground and you could leave a little set of footprints and like tress and stuff would be covered in snow as well.

That would sound fun, mabey the ponds could freeze up and we could skate on them :thumbsup:

In the HD diaries, they said that they have one texture, and a little bit of code to apply it, so, it would technically be a small update. Just replace the grass texture with a snow one.

It'd be cool, but JaGEx wouldn't do it due to the huge amount of time it'd take to do it. :o

Never underestimate Jagex, daxter76... Just when you're not looking, they could pop up with such a thing... then, SURPRISE! You would be staring at one instantaneously 'snow-loaded' RuneScape!!! :D

Imagine doing the quest about global warming when whole Runescape is covered in snow. :P

I like this idea. It wouldn't be hard to implement, seeing as they would only need to change some lines of code to cover the ground with snow.

I would say footprints that only appear for your character would make sense lol
