Alright here is the story. Around '02 I was led in RS by school friends and created an acc which I trained up...eventually I left RS and to my knowledge just forgot the pass. After returning with my new acc, I try and get my old acc back.

 

 

 

Well my appeal was successful but now I find my account with a bank full of members equipment?! with members quests completed?!! and no possible way of either using the equipment!! Obviously someone else had access and went members earning items (I think I've spotted D Dagger & Med!!!) so WTF do I do?

 

 

 

It is my account, but someone else has earned all this stuff that I cannot use!

Wether that works or not you should change your password ASAP if you haven't already. If you're positive you didn't give your account away, scan your computer FIRST because you may have a keylogger that will just steal your password straight after you change it.

That is a possibilty, I'll admit. The problem is, all of this happened years ago and I can't remember who I was friends with or what I did.

Technically, I have to re-buy most items (Rune Axe, Pickaxe etc...) and I don't want to waste such items by throwing them away. 80k on F2P could kick start my rebuilding....

Dropping members items on a F2P server just means they will disappear. No one will be able to see them.

Pretty much, unless you plan on getting members there is no reason to keep the items. So drop them, forget about them, and enjoy your bankspace.

I might think of getting members just to turn them into cash but it aint worth £6. Argh! I could items worth a lot (I dunno!) and just dropping them is :thumbdown:

I think members is worth the money. Its only $5 (U.S.) and you get so much more in the game. Only if you are going to be playing of course, but still worth it.

The most expensive item is the D Med, around 50k or so. Drop every members item. Almost all quest items are able to be gotten again. Just play F2P, and move on. Grats on getting your account back btw.

you might want to keep the gold charms,you have 277 of them.(only keep if you will become member ever.)

 

 

 

they are used in the summoning skill and 277 charms might get you some levels.

Hey dont really know you but here is a suggestion.

are really cool. Its worth the $6 (price went up this year). I am

 

soon to get my membership back so if you have any quetions

I personally think you should keep all the items and just convince

 

your parents to let you have the membership. In fact I still have

 

many of my member items and it doesnt affect my space at all.

I would use this as an opportunity to try out members for yourself. Buy a one month membership (shouldn't be THAT hard to find a few dollars) and then use some of the items and sell before your membership runs out.

 

 

 

One thing you should definitely do while in members is train agility...like crazy. It transfers over to F2P servers, so if you decide that you just want to quit members, you'll at least have trained a skill that will work for you. You can also try some members quests (as many as you can) that will allow you to get some free EXP in F2P skills and do things like Tears of Guthix (which gives you some free EXP each week...you could get four weeks worth in maybe) and the distractions and diversions which might give you some more EXP.

 

 

 

I think getting it for one month could help you out a ton, even in F2P.

Here's my logic for membership.

 

 

 

8 months = $48

 

 

 

$48 is just under the price of the average videogame, and most people buy more than one videogame every 8 months. Plus, you get more content, and specifically for you, you already have a decent start into membership. I'd say get members.

Yeah, I was quite surprised to get it back - it's sherman2k for those that want to know. My other lost account is sherman53 but I'll let that go. It's actually quite funny - "I love my 'jack" despite his lower levels.
