Ok, my ranging lvl is 61, so i can use Rune crossbow. My attack lvl is 62, and my strength is 70. For melee I have dragon longsword. My defence lvl is 60, and I have full dragon except chain, I have granite pl8. So is it better to melee him or range him? Oh before I forget, I also have enough prayer to use protect from melee so yeah. Also, if ranging, tell me what bolts to use and/or weapon. Thanx! =D>

Depends whether the Mage or Range is stronger, thought I recommend range, and if you run out of ammo switch to mage, then to melee. Have prayer potions incase.

I used mage. I had 60-ish at the time, and used level 59 Fire Blast. Didn't take long at all, maybe 3 - 4 mins to kill the Demon. Good luck! :

Well, I only have 48 mage. The best I can do is water blast. And water blast doesnt hit high, i think max is like 11.

They're cheaper than Mith but roughly the same. They were introduced with the Slayer update a while ago. It's worth trying them out. :

Yup broad-tipped bolts are good for people on a budget but then again you seem to not have 55 Slayer level required for using them.

 

 

 

EDIT: oh wait thats referring to Broad arrows; not too sure about Broad-tipped bolts though..

This is how I did it:

 

 

 

1. When you get to the place, there will be a few side "bridges" or platforms that the demon can't though, giving you a good number of safespots. Hide in there and he'll only be able to use his mage attacks against you. Just pray and bring a few pray pots. However, if you know how to pray flash effectively and wear prayer boosting equipment like monk robes, you might not even need them.

 

 

 

2. The gnomes of the 10th squad will wear him down constantly, but it takes a while. Remember, you have to be the person who deals the final blow.

 

 

 

3. If you choose to range, this will speed things up a bit, but may end up costing you a bit (which I'm sure shouldn't be a huge problem.

 

 

 

4. As for melee (as I did it), wait for the gnomes to wear him down to about 1/4, put on some strong melee armour, keep on protect from mage, and start wailing on him with your weapon.

Took me about a minute and a half with mage short+steel arrows with pot at 50, so just safe spot him, mage protect and boom! He's dead. :lol:

I used dharoks and protected from mage, dharoks gives good melee and range def also you thwack in with some good hits. Just pot up and go nuts, that's how I did it.

I'd recommend going to the ogre spa and taking a 15hp boost into the combat. I meleed him, first drinking a super strength and a super attack and using my dpp++ for its 4 double attacks. If your concerned about him, you could always wear a ring of life too.

Put mage pray on, run behind the safespot and kill him. I did it at 55 range and I didn't even need pray pots.

If he's using Rune C'bow and decent(Broad/addy+) bolts he shouldn't have a problem doing it without the safespot(if it's still there), just mage pray and range him to death. You may want to bring a prayer potion or two just in case because once your pray runs out you probably won't last long.
