Perfect Dark or Goldeneye?

i've played both of these games, and i've seen goldeneye hailed as the better n64 game. i'm forced to disagree with that though. for me the point where perfect dark was better was the multiplayer. i have not seen another multiplayer game with bots as good as the ones in perfect dark. my friend and i spent hours playing maps on perfect dark with various bots, most notably the kamikaze bots. perfect dark zero for the 360 failed at reproducing the fun we had on his n64 with the original perfect dark. while goldeneye was fun, i'm still leaning towards perfect dark on this one. so which would you choose as the better game, perfect dark, or goldeneye?

and there are some wiki links for further reading on both.

Dude, I remember the days when I used to literally camp at my friend's house just to play Goldeneye.

What can I say? That game was the [cabbage].

Perfect Dark, I just thought that it was more fun

although I remember that with both games, everyone would always just go for the short characters so it was harder to kill them

Perfect Dark purely because you could actually jump/fall of ledges, which couldn't happen in GoldenEye. Without that I'd rank them equal, or damn close to equal. The full customization of weapons in MP would probably put Perfect Dark in front tho.

They're both must have essentials for the N64, but I liked the Perfect Dark Multiplayer better for the same reason :D

It's like James Bond Nightfire's multiplayer, could be the best PS2 multiplayer FPS there is

I've played both and Goldeneye makes it into my top 5 video games of all time. Perfect dark isn't even in my top 25...

reasons?

I've always enjoyed Goldeneye more then Perfect Dark. I never played Perfect Dark enough to give a solid opinion of which one I think is overall better though. I disliked the 360's Perfect Dark..

so did i, although i didn't play it too much. i've been contemplating renting it to try it again.

Perfect Dark hands down, golden eye was fun but multiplayer had limited weapon combinations and had less cool weapons in general. Perfect dark had voice acting and some of the funnest weapons ever. (If you've ever hide and farsight your friends like crazy with a labtop gun protecting them you'll know what i mean....)

I like both, but i have to say Perfect Dark... Really fun to play when you are a few!

I've also played both games in my youth with friends... I *always* found Goldeneye 007 to be the better game.

Not only does it have a good 4-player multiplayer mode, it has very interesting missions, details, music, etc. in single player as well. The ratings are deserved... For a pre-2000 game, in it's own genre it's as amazing as Ocarina of Time is in the adventure genre.
