Charms without Combat

I have heard that you can loot Summoning Charms from the Dorgesh-Kaan chests, thus gaining no combat XP. I'm planning on getting 99 Summoning at 15 Combat. If anyone could give me a rough estimate of how many (and what kind) of charms can be looted in an hour, that would be extremely helpful.

 

Also, someone said you can LootShare Charms, having one person kill an animal, and hope that the Charms come to you. Is this true? Can Charms be LootShare'd, or not?

Yes, charms can be lootshared. However, if you manage to get 99 summoning by either lootsharing or thieving Dorgesh'Kaan chests, you have the patience of a god.

Yes there's safespots, but you have to run through a lot of chamber with a lot of monsters in it which can easily kill you with 10 hp.

Do you have a clan that is willing to burst rock lobsters and let you mooch their charms?

Its basically impossible to get charms without combat. The chest are nowhere near the same amount that you would get from monsters, no one is going to let you lootshare the charms and that alone would take many months since you wouldn't get all the drops, and the whole bursting thing. It cost about 1mil for around 200-250 charms. I doubt anyone would spend that much just to get you charms unless you would somehow reimburse them.

I think you only get 0.25 exp per pouch when you turn it into a scroll. Could be more or less, all I know is that you don't get anything over 1xp. Don't quote me though.

I would suggest Penguin Points, Lamps, etc. I think One Small Favour could be possible at that level.

And when did I ever say I didn't know about bursting? If I had said "How do I get into Waterbirth Island" no one would know exactly what I was talking about. Therefore, I said "How do I get to Rock Lobsters?"

You only have to fight a level 92, a couple of 40's in a multi combat zone, and do shilo village before that.

 

 

 

I think your best bet is just suffering through the range experience that death to the dorgeshuun gives you and steal charms that way. Seriously, getting 99 summoning the normal way takes a long time, getting it you way, you must have the patience of a saint.

You could ring of recoil a ton of small leveled aggressive monsters, like (omg, i forgot what they were called) those crawler things in the security of stronghold. Get a ton, and i mean a ton, of gold charms by injuring them 1 by 1, you'd kill like 3 at the same time, it'd be really expensive but would save you money since they only hit a max of 1. The ratio of rings to monsters would be the amount of recoil charges to the crawler's HP.

 

 

 

Otherwise....get 500 people to get you to rock lobsters. :lol:

Have you considered rock crabs in the chaos tunnels? I'm almost certain one of the entrances takes you right to them, and there is a safe spot in there. If your friend or friends ran through first, they could distract the crabs while you make it to the safe spot. The dangerous parts of this is that one might hit you while you are collecting your loot. Though a glory should allow you to make it back to your grave in time. Also, I think crabs might run so ice spells would be advisable. While these would be nowhere near as good as lobsters, it is a burst able charm monster none the less. Oh, it drops 10 charms at a time, too.

While people may buy unicorn stallion scrolls for healing, I doubt many people buy talon beast scrolls. Also, due to their annoying to get second ingredient, talon beast pouches may be hard to buy.

Well, If you could somehow get into the rock lobster area, and had some good friends, you could just stand behind the ladder and have them burst the lobs and you can ls with them. The very hard part would be getting past the wallaskis, since they can hit well over 20. I guess you could have about 100 friends go with and help :lol:

XP lamps and penguins can get you into the 60s in a fairly short amount of time, and you should be able to do Cold War to up your XP gains from penguins. You unfortunately can't do much, if any, of the achievement diaries at level 3, but you should be able to tackle One Small Favour for 20k XP. You could perhaps do Tail of Two Cats as well, and Swept Away, which have choosable XP rewards.
