I've started to like drawing stuff in paint, and I wanted to get some reviews over my work. I know it's not spectacular, but I think it's fun and passes the time easily.. Here's my first work I'll put up. If you make a request as a test for me or such, I'll try my best at it and post it later.

Save as .png

1) As littleboy said... never save as .jpg. It destroys whole effect.

This one has been destroyed already. Next time you draw, dont save as .jpg and you'll see diffrences ;)

 

 

 

.jpg 'mix' colors and makes picture 'un-repairable'. So you 'can't touch this!'

Hes doing it in paint dont forget so save just = low percentage jpeg as default?

You already saved it in .jpg, which compresses it and ruins the quality. You need to save it as .png the first time, to prevent paint from compressing the picture. Just re-saving it as a .png won't restore the compressed picture.

To Army- there's no way to change Paint's jpg compression rate. Anything in paint should be saved as png.

Depends. Still if you're doing typography work or pixels you would rather a .png than a .jpg, even at 100% quality.

I thought they were good but the colours weren't chosen correctly. The first one looks inverted, should have white background, black lines. Same with the others actually... They're a bit ruined with the cheap font but hey, on a better program, these would be way more awesome. Though I have seen some awesome work done in paint. Hmm, not sure how I feel about the spray paint tool, just makes it look tacky. Anatomy is a little off but not as bad as I've seen some worst works in the gallery heh. Nice.

Nadril, Tegan - you're both right, they aren't very good. But from what I can see, all he wanted was help. Just like ALL of us here have asked for many, many times. I'll agree with the fact that they aren't very good and the fact that he used the spray-tool like that -.-

 

 

 

Alright, I don't know much about pixels (or whatever the hell you wanna call this stuff) but I think I know basic anatomy. And that is something you're drawings DON'T have. The proportions are all WRONG. They're not the worst, but I don't think they're near correct. You're colours aren't very nice either and the way you used the spray-tool is a no-no as far as I'm concerned. Read some tutorials and just keep trying.

 

 

 

If you take all the trolling seriously and/or can't handle the actual criticism then you'll never get anywhere. Overall I'd say work on your linework, shading and colours. As well as you're anatomy and proportions of things. Try drawing still life (fruit and such). Perhaps someone more experienced than me can help. (I'm looking at you Uno) :lol:

Well, ok. Thanks for the criticism. I know they are bad, and most of these are just requests from friends on my clan. The spray for the whip, yes I know, looks bad. I just do what my friends want to see. I've only started doing this as a hobby, and well, I will still work on it, but maybe not post here.

 

 

 

For those who did think these were horrible and got a kick out it, have fun. That's what these pictures are meant for.

Don't let them discourage you. Keep trying and if you post here and get some CONSTRUCTIVE criticism you'll improve :thumbsup:

did you guys see misterxmans when he first started? these are good for firsts.

 

 

 

id work on anatomy though bud, they all seem rather short and fat, and always use 1 px outlines, if you use think outlines it takes away from detail.

 

 

 

(also that whip made by spraying the paintcan is just a big no no)
