Patr1ck
Hell no. When I first started the whole Runescape community was tightly-knitted. It wasn't all about grinding and getting money. It was about having fun and messing around, helping people who needed it. Today I guarantee that 50% of people you ask for help on something will be totally rude and be [cabbage] pissed about how you interrupted their grinding. being_true
no, when i started it was more exciting since it was all new and didnt know the fastest ways to train. it was more exciting since i didnt know the best places or the fastest ways to get there. the noob days were so great lol 98% Of teenagers surround their minds with rap music, if you're part of the 2% that stayed with rock, put this in your signature, ROCK IS BETTER! Erichermit
Sure its changed. And do I think it's worse? To be honest I don't know. I still love this game. But yeah, it's wildly different. Range_This11
I feel very secluded from when I started 6 years ago. I hardly play at all now except to camp Abbies. Lodewijk66
It feel the same? NO It (still) feels good? yes, sometimes. At this time, lots of good memories pop up. The old RuneScape :D Paying to pass the gate to Al Kharid. Buying addy plates @ the champions guild (rarely visited nowadays) for 18k and selling them for 30 on the streets of world 2. People were selling fires at fishing spots. Barbarians were tuf (dunno how to spell it proper :$) and knights guarded stuff. Pking was fun, alone or clanning, both were great. Great memories, to not be forgotten  Lode's Steel Smithing Guide! With Pictures *3.5K+ VIEWS*The Guide to DUO maging @ Dk's - HD pics
Italian5kamikaze
No, I dont see how it could feel the same for anyone unless they barely started. Friends quit, made new friends. Whatever I thought was expensive 4-5 years ago I would think is cheap now. Way more to do in the game now, I could keep going on but I think you get the point lol. Quit. PM me if you play The Conduit to exchange friend codes.

Have you ever felt sick? i have to say that was smooth on topic: no when i first started it was all about the pk and exploring. finding new skills trying the quests ( almost took me a week to do ernest the chicked and i got lost in the house. ) being to poor to afford the "good" armour and weapons such as addy and getting killed by someone who could. yup thoes were the days Gamertag: EFs Predator.Games I play: Halo 3, Halo wars. OT: When I started playing this game, I played because it was fun to play games online with people you knew in real life, but now most of those people have moved on and I've formed strong friendships with real people through tipit and otherwise. I really wouldn't be playing this game anymore if it wasn't for clan chats, tipitchat and lightning in particular. witchylucy
As a new player/member of just a few (6) months I had a laugh as I read this thread and had to comment. Some of those things I am experiencing now, i can relate to the ernest the chicken comment - though it took me 2 days until a friend told me where to find him   And I had a major whinge at paying 19k for a rune long sword. I made 1000 bowstrings to pay for my rune armour, axes and splitbark armour. Took me hours. I have just spent 3 days hunting copper longtails to get up to level 40, than sold all the feathers and made a few thousand coins. I have no idea of 98% of the terminology used in rs #-o I get harrassed by young males wanting me to be their gf, or to give them money - although this doesn't happen so much on p2p than it did on f2p. I get abused for being a 'noob', gee we all have to start somewhere. I have been banned from the penguin chat for inadvertantly posting a sighting while on another world :shame: - I forgot to check when I logged on to RS that evening  I feel guilty when getting my thieving stats up  I felt awful when I killed my first unicorn, and it took me ages to get up the courage to do it - far too much harry potter I think. I am absolutely panicking at the thought of doing the dragon slayer quest :ohnoes: I may only be a level 50 at this time, but it is my first big quest. I have a couple of friends from real life who have been playing RS for a couple of years and now have me addicted. It's all their fault. I also love Rs as it is a great stress release for me and although I do not know a lot of people online as I keep to myself, I have found most people pretty friendly and helpful. AndyPandy
It is different, I've changed, the game has changed, the community has changed. I started just after the transition to RS2. It was amazing back then. I remember saving up for ages to buy my first addy set for 40k. It meant the world to me. I was so proud. Runescape is the only game that I can truly and honestly say has changed my life. Without it I wouldn't be into computers so much, I wouldn't be on TIF, I wouldn't be into Graphics, and in turn going for a job as an Architect. I have such memories. I remember for ages when I first started on my first account, I thought I wasn't able to speak, because the first time I tried, I hadn't clicked on the game window. I love every minute of my time on runescape, but not as much lately. That is the curse of levelling up, nothing seems new, but Jagex do their level best to keep it interesting, and I love it. That is another reason I keep coming back to this game. I know of no other game on any format that is so cared for by it's creators. Jagex are some of the best people around, and from what I've heard, their office environment is brilliant too. Jagex, I applaud you for helping me to turn into the man I am today. You know what? If I could go back in time, I'd do it all again. If I could change what I did with all those hours, I wouldn't. The growth in my account has not been so great, but the knowledge I have gained, the fun I've had, the people I've met, make this experience unforgettable. I wouldn't trade my experiences for the world. I really hope that everyone who starts the game fresh enjoys it as much as I did, and can take away from it the valuble lessons that I learned, and the great experiences too. This game has been a major part of my life for around 5 years now, and I am thankful for it. It has been a place for me to go and have fun, to interact with other like minded people with a common goal. If something wasn't going well in life, I could go on Runescape and talk to someone about it if I wanted to. Alot of the time someone will listen. Generally, if you're in trouble, people will help you. A lot of the time if I was down, I would train, this not only improved my character, but I felt it improved me as a person too. I was achieving something, and it felt good. Runescape has been there for me, and I love it all the more for it. Thank you Runescape. So don't let anyone tell you you're not worth the earth, These streets are your streets, this turf is your turf, Don't let anyone tell you that you've got to give in, Cos you can make a difference, you can change everything, Just let your dreams be your pilot, your imagination your fuel, Tear up the book and write your own damn rules, Use all that heart, hope and soul that you've got, And the love and the rage that you feel in your gut, And realise that the other world that you're always looking for, Lies right here in front of us, just outside this door, And it's up to you to go out there and paint the canvas, After all, you were put on the earth to do this, So shine your light so bright that all can see, Take pride in being whoever the [bleep] you want to be. Lodewijk66
I would almost forget about the nice people that used to play RS. One time when I was noob, say lvl 10, my friend brought me to Varrock and asked some people for free stuff which they actually gave. Free full bronze, great for me at the time :D Also reminds me of some high lvled players: The Old Nite and N0valyfe, both high and both nice to everyone :) Lode's Steel Smithing Guide!
