While doing a little thing earlier I ended up doing the Shield or Arrav and I had to kill Jonny the Beard for an Intel report so I could join the Phoenix gang and I read the intel report and I noticed the Intel Report said this:

 

Intelligent Report

 

There is an archeologist hanging around the

 

statue outside of the city, with mining equipment.

 

Could she be onto a hidden treasure buried near

 

the statue?

 

There is a new channel being dug and a barge

 

being assembled near the digsite. The Varrock

 

museum seems to be paying for it. Could they

 

have information about new treasures?

 

(I know the word archeologist is spelt wrong but that's Jagex's fault not mine)

 

They have an interest in the new island(but that isn't really surprising seeing as they do want to steal treasures).

 

Is that Jagex giving us a hint that they (the Phoenix and Black Arm gang) will take a more prominent role on that island?

 

Maybe a mini game where you can choose what side you want to go on and raid each others bases for treasure?

 

Or maybe it's just one of Jagex's ways to try get people more into the museum (well a poor way at that seeing as w/e amount will do the Shield of Arrav quest only half of that will be part of the phoenix gang and how many of them will even read the Intel report?

The lady that hangs around the statue is being used by the Dagon'hai to guard the entrance to their secret tunnels below the statue. Nothing new. The gangs might just be interested in her activities.

 

 

 

As for them being involved in a later quest, or something like that, with the Kudos Island might be possible and also plausible.

Wait, the intel report says something about the chick next to the statue? Dosent this quest date back to RSC? Anna jones wasnt in RSC and neither was the Dagon'hai so i wonder what the RSC report says.

Well they did update it because there wasn't any archeologists in Rsc. But Im sure it means nothing

Hmm. :-k Interesting, That quest is so old, I don't even think you could read it when I did it, I seem to remember him being a reporter or something along those lines, and the 'Intel Report' was a newspaper. But that's probably the fact that I haven't doen that quest in ages. This is interesting.

Well the quest has been updated a while ago and when I was doing the quest a few years ago you COULDN'T read it and it was called a Scroll.

 

As for the statue, don't the Dagon'hai support Zamorak (I'm not too sure about them tbh)? So maybe they gang/gang will join them as well then seeing as if Zamorak gets power they will be able to raid anyone/thing they want.

Well these two have been gathering dust and I think Jagex feels its time for them to be brought out and used again. Shame I won't be able to know what it'll be like, I'm F2P( sigh...)

I think it was originally called "Scroll" with the poorly-capitalised examine "An intelligence Report".
