Lets_3ekout
Try retype your post in English. At the very least, at least choose -A- language, because mashing the keyboard doesn't fare well with the readers. Fekambard
I want to train my magic level to around 90 but I only have 2.6M or so to spend. What would you recommend for me to high alch so I would lose as little GP as possible? Thank You. Translated for all you idiots that like to dishearten people that may not speak English as well as others.

I could understand what his original post was saying, they just made a big deal out of it. There's a difference between a post from someone who speaks english as a second language and someone who just types lyke ths plz. At the very least, if one's English as at the stage that we see here and they speak it as a second language they should clearly state so in their signature, to avoid convos like the one being had now. If it's not their second language, they should go back to English class and download some typing exercises. This may be the internet, but I'd like to think of TIF as having better standards than RSOF as far as legibility goes. No one likes decrypting posts, straining their eyes or thinking about the disgraceful spelling of a poster while they're reading a post. Didn't want to carry that on, oh well. Fekambard
English is my second language but I can understand, speak, read and write it better than others that have it as their first language. What you're implying is that if English is not your first language then you should walk around with a note taped to your head telling others about it? Someone shouldn't have to state it in their signature just so that others won't flame them; they should be able to type to the best of their ability and not be flamed without being asked about their situation. RayOxide
If you couldnt read that, you really are bad at interwebs. Anyway, try alching Magic longbows, if anything, they're one of the best things you can probably get. I dont need a siggy no moar.

Look at it this way, the poster can have this convo go on and on for pages every time he makes a post/asks something or he can put <10 words in his sig and have 100% immunity from this happening. It's just much more practical. There are many more illiterate people who play RS than there are those who speak ESL, naturally people will assume the former if you don't make it clear the latter is why your English is an eye sore. By no means do I say it's required, but it saves everyone grief. Fekambard
I understand what you're saying and agree with most of it. All of this wouldn't happen if we weren't so persistent in correcting even the smallest of mistakes in grammar and spelling. There are some like us who prefer to type in text-book English and others that would rather take shortcuts to save a few seconds. We don't need to change someone that doesn't want to type like this just because we believe it is right. All I'm saying is that if we weren't so fixated on ethical language rules and just answered the question we wouldn't be arguing right now.

Shadow MC
This topic will soon be locked if the spam the majority of you are posting does not stop. Someone has come here to ask for some help and whether their question has been typed in perfect English or not is irrellevent. Fair enough if you cannot actually make sense of something that has been posted but if this is the case it does not give anyone the need to spam, flame or just plain argue over it. If you do not understand what someone is asking all that is needed is a polite post asking if they could please re-phrase/re-type their question for you to better understand it or, ask another user that does understand it. Please stick to the topic in question from here on out. -->Dragon_R
