Hm...taking a break from pixeling. Decided to draw something and practice shading. Anatomy is a bit messed I know..ok maybe HIGHLY messed... Background's sort of boring...will needa fix it. Meh her arm's too long...too lazy to fix that. And hmm what else..I NEED A TITLE! Hehe =)

This seems a bit familiar, not the picture just that of the demon and the angel. Propably from a story I read sometime ago... Oh well, if I can't remember it, propably not important anyway. :P

Maybe the transition between the red and blue bg could be more changing, like not so abrupt :?

That's amazing work, the only thing that could make it even better is smoothen out the change between the two BG colors.

The things to work on from my perspective would be

 

 

 

 

 

 

 

a. As xman said, the stransition is just too stark.

 

 

 

 

 

 

 

b. There is a mixing of shading styles, which is subtle, so I didn't notice it right away. But parts of it are cell shaded (her leg for instance) and parts of it are shaded with more tones (such as his pants). Were they drawn seperately at first?

Depending on if you want a more shiney leather you could make some sheeny (that a word) parts, with hard highlights. Kind of like slick rock star pants. I guess demons would wear those right? . But yeah, it is troubling. Cell shading has its limits. Actually at the moment you have the one character with the cell, and the other without.

That is indeed fabulous. The drawing part of it. The shading is rather basic. Amazing work anyway. But please remove the dropshadows or I'll be forced to eat my pet gerbil :wink:

Looks great princess. And I agree with tttia, the different styles of shading are different, kind of cool though.

very nice.. one thing though that can make it better is make the red/blue backround blend a little..

im with ttia also, i like how thers more then 1 shading style, i didnt realise it until it was pointed out though, and i always said it like the letters t-t-i-a (and i always seem to leave out 1 t)
