August 6, 200520 yr i'm not sure where to put this, but here goes: well today i made a bow, which is harder than it sounds. you have to find the perfect tree, one that will bend but not break. i perfer to use a baby hardwood, no more than an inch in diameter. cut the wood so that you have a few extra inches more than your string does so you can curve it correctly. once you have your tree harversted you must point the ends so that your bowstring will stay. for the bowstring i used dicron, a strong and non-flexible cord, with two slip knots around the end. to string the bow you must find out which direction the wood naturaly curves and push it that way until there is enough slack on the string to get it around both ends. i suggest you use the help of a few buddies to do this and be careful not to break your bow. if the string just isn't long enough cut off some more wood. now you need an arrow. i cheated and used a factory made arrow, but you can make your own. now pull back your string and let her fly. careful though, the one i made today broke in the middle when i was pulling it back and i punched myself in the nose. i got a nice little flow of blood going. so, anyone else tried mining or smithing or something of the sort lately?
August 6, 200520 yr yeah i made a 6ft mulbury bow worked for about a year and shot a arrow about 60-80m u gotta wire a nail onto wooden dowel for a arrow then get half feathers and stickeytape them on and they go perfectly straight shout about 15 birds and 4 possoms funny stuff then i made some stuff using anvils and oxy torch in power mechanics coz it was funny and its stabbed another bird
August 6, 200520 yr actually I have tried real life fletching. in my highschool media class we made a Warrior movie. I took it upon myself to make 30+ arrows. what i did, i went and found about 30 marshmello roasting sized dowel rods. cut them to a nice length. and for the arrowheads and fletchings, i used duct tape. i made point ends by just wrapping the duct tape around one end into a point. for the feathers and notch, i just folded the duct tap in the middle taped it to the end and used scissors to cut little feather cuts into it. the notch was just two small rolled up pieces taped down. they actually turned out really nice looking, adn it took a long time to make all 30. after the film we only had like 2 that survived, that didnt get lost in the woods, or broken. i wish i still had pictures but i don't. ALSO, ive also did a little smithing, with a metal rod, that ive set in the fire for a long time, and put it over an axehead and smashed it to a point with a hammer. that i wasnt to successful with though though. just got it pointy, couldnt really get the sides sharp without some file or grinder thing. heh [combat level: 124][skill total: 1,800+][quest points: 260][Mining: ??]AFTER 8 YEARS OF PLAYING - PERM BANNEDGo Vegan!

August 6, 200520 yr lets see... I've smithed (made an awsome looking dagger/letter opener), I've fletched, I've cooked  , I've fished (kinda hard landing 100 pound tuna), and I've farmed (rasberries, plumbs, chiles, potatoes, tomatoes, strawberries, lemons, and limes).

August 6, 200520 yr I think I'm about lvl 5 fletching in real life. I made a few bows when I was a kid, and tried making some arrows, but the knife slipped and I lost 1 hp. I'm pretty sure I ate afterwards, but it didn't stop my thumb from bleeding :?:  I've also done some farming, woodcutting, fishing, cooking. Probably some other things too. Never went out slaying monkeys though.
August 6, 200520 yr :D I make my own marshmello sticks :o , and they are preatty cool! I once used my knife on this long whippy kind of branch, and it wass like a n abbysal whip  . August 6, 200520 yr Well, my grandpa's realy into archery, guns, and marsmanship, and I've done a lot of that with him. As far as fletching goes, I've only tried stringing his 20 lbs bow once, and that was all I needed to know that I sucked at it :D . Gamertag: King Arizona

August 6, 200520 yr a minimal amount of farming, my mom has a backyard garden (you do not know how hard that is since we live in new york city, and yess i am psyched about the new worlds) but when it comes to cooking i would say that my RL level is close to my RS level (which is 68) and I know, you guys think cooking is a simple mundane everyday task, wrong! Have you guys really gotten into the intricicies of cooking, how just the right amount of basil can bring out a dish, or that sometimes you just need to stick with the simple things, like peanut butter.
