score! revived a dead thread!

anyway, as ive said before, say screw off.

Excuses are tools of incompetence that builds monuments of nothingness. Those who specialize in excuses never accomplish anything.

You're around 14/15 right?

Your parents are pushing you the right way, half the people i know whos parents were leniant in these things, are heading way down the wrong track.

Ask them if you can stay out till dark each night, dunno what that's like in America but in Australian summers that can be as late as 9 or as early as 5.

Stick in there but the rewards you will reap in later life are only going to be good if you can look back and say "I was on the brink of ruining all this".

The top can only be fully appreciated if you're been on the bottom.

This is not true at all. You can't possibly know if those 2 things were connected with those people. Staying out later won't influence him at all like that, it's not like he'll go to night clubs and become an alcoholic..

Plus, without social interaction, college will be a hell of a lot harder social-wise. He has near perfect grades, so the next most important thing to take care of is his social life.

Your parents are pushing you the right way, yes (trying to)half the people i know whos parents were leniant in these things, are heading way down the wrong track. (that's like no rules or direction: it is here is a wad of twenties and off you go)

The top can only be fully appreciated if you're been on the bottom. So I should hurt myself to appreciate it later >.> Some sacrifices are fine but seriously.

Thoroughly retired, may still write now and again

I'm back up to an A average but am now getting lectured on cleaning up around the house >.> One thing to another. I tried staying out to 6:10 but they brought the curfew in to 5:00... :wall:

[bleep] 'em. This is too much. Say you'll tank your grades if they don't let the heck up. And if they don't let one (easy) grade drop to a B and "prove" it. Open rebellion is always fun too.

OH S***! He/she/it is back!

I'm a freshman in high school, have never been to a sleepover, can't be out past 6:00, get yelled at for a B, and because of this can't play rs, and have to use a 7 yr old computer.

Yeah...

Plus i'm two years ahead in maths, and am taking a college level C++ programming class.

Is this overbearing or not. Also others post what they think is overbearing, and what is the difference between being overbearing and caring

~Deathmath.

Note this may seem like a sympathy trap, but I am generally interested if this is normal or not, and what others have to deal with.

Caring people allow freedom, protective but not too overprotective.

People who care will allow freedom.

That stinks quite honestly.

As for you your 14/15 years old, you should ask them at during dinner or whenever is right. Tell them i am a growning person, let me enjoy my life,i have a life outside of school and home.

I have friends, even if you don't think so let me hang out with my friends past 6.

How about not past 10 instead? or 8? Anything more reasonable, People whom are younger sleep at 7-8pm, I am sure a teenager is allowed to hang out a bit later then 6 pm.

And nobody is perfect so don't expect me get all A's,[if you want to be an [wagon], you can question how smart they are].

Afterthat you should buy another computer.

I hoped i helped

Dude, if I could I would seriously swap parents with you, only people more stubborn then your parents are people like me. Mine don't really care, but I don't do anything bad or stupid (unless you count parkour.)

18:00 curfew is just...lame.

They may be strict with you, as they might not want you to make the same mistakes they did when they were your age, but never told you about.

Wow, I thought my parents were over bearing. o_o

I think they're only like that cos' I'm the only kid left at home, the youngest, and their only girl. So of course they're anti-boys. It's like a freaking swear word in my house.

We'll sneak out while they sleep

And sail off in the night.

We'll come clean and start over the rest of our lives.

When we're gone, we'll stay gone.

Out of sight, out of mind.

It's not too late,

We have the rest of our lives.
