gorgoroth
Well yesterday i got myself enough points to get the Slayer Helm and im very VERY impressed with it so far. It makes a big difference. Getting the Slayer Helm was one of my main goals for slayer and now that i have it i dont know what i should spend any future points on. I doubt i will ever block a task so thats pretty much out of the question. Is learning the Broad Bolt Fletching and Slayer Ring Crafting skills worth it? Can i profit from any of the two? Is there anything else i can spend points on that wont be a complete and total waste? **Thanks to Boo_Boy666 for my amazing Singnature**[hide=Slaytanicc's Achievments]|99Cooking achieved 24Dec 2008|99Strength achieved 17Feb 2009|99Hit Points achieved 8April 2009||99Defense achieved 29May 2009|99Attack achieved 2August 2009|99Ranged achieved 14August 2009|[/hide][hide=Guides by Slaytanicc]Aviansie Maging + Ranging Guide (Must Read!!)Iron Mining + Banking GuideGreen Dragons GuideAnkou Slaying Guide[/hide]
sicksk8er1
Slayer rings are in every way, shape and form, awesomely useful!!! Broad bolt fletching is pretty cool for kurask tasks, you can make quite a lot of broad bolts from their drops I'd say if you're seriously considering training slayer then buy everything you can and then spend any further points on the 10k slayer exp after that. EDIT: This all said under the assumption that you have 75 crafting already? 99 Slayer, I don't have it yet. But it'll come.
Theoknight2
slayer dart runes. You make pure profit off the death runes, but the mind runes dont make much money even if they would sell, so you could use them for pvp potential I guess.

Spend it on the dart runes, you can make a nice profit from them. Also keep a nice little pile for when you want to skip tasks. bmnp
i spent the points to learn how to make the rings. i used assistance to make my rings bc i dont have the crafting lvl. i love the rings almost as much as the helmet. after using points on learning to make the ring and blocking tasks, use the points to get the slayer dart runes to sell for easy millions
Dexek
You can profit with the broad tipped bolts. Buying slayer dart casts is obviously more profitable, but it's always nice to have an extra ability up your sleeve. I bought the helmet first, then blocked the tasks I dislike, then the fletching, rings, and now I have all of my points that I now gain for dart casts. It really just depends on what you feel is most useful for your current situation. Glad to know you got the helmet before the abilities. Happy slaying. PoetryIndexed Picture 1Indexed Picture 2 Killed my maxed Zerker pure April 2010 Rebooting Runescape
DeeKay
I'd keep them. Sooner or later you'd want to start skipping tasks, either to aim at something (charms, drops) or because the task sucks (Goraks, Suqahs).

SwreeTak
The slayer ring is quite useful, and those death runes are easy to sell for a nice profit. Good luck with your slaying! Add me if you so wish: SwreeTak
Fools_Taco
Block steel dragons if you want to get 99 slayer sometime before the sun goes red dwarf. I got the helm and the ring, then saved all the points till 99 slayer. At the end i had enough points for 57000 death runes. The slayer update happened when i was 92 slayer so i have all the points from half the skill. Saved all the charms to. Ended up with 10k crimson, 1700 blue, 10k gold and 8k green (aprox on all numbers, i dont have RS open atm).
SportsGuy
Slayer ring creation next, then broad bolts creation, then slayer dart stuff...never trade in for experience. It's a waste...unless you're really close to opening up a new possible slayer enemy (within that 10k) and have finished your latest task and want the chance of getting that monster next. I wouldn't do it under any circumstance, but just a thought. ilovecardj
Id get 200 qp and block 4 tasks personnaly. Or at very least 175 for barrows gloves. If you dont want to block tasks, you must at least block iron/steels to have any reasonable exp rates. Id get slayer ring next, skip fletching as its not very good anymore, then use all points to skip bad tasks and just stock pile. I had 8800 points at 99 slayer, and I skipped MANY Tasks, which was totally worth it because it sped things up alot, got me better summon exp, and made me more cash, which makes up for excess points spent on death runes anyways. When your done slayer you can swap for death runes Dragon Drops: 80+ boots, 7 med, 3 skirt, 2 left half, 2 Spear, 2 2hSlayer: 30+ whips, 4 Bows, 1 Mask, 3 Granite Legs, 1 Visage (Wyverns)Notable GWD Splits: Bandos Tassets: 12, Bandos Chest: 11, Bandos Hilt: 2Proud Slayer of 99 Att/Str/Def/HP/Range/Summoning

The other 2 can be accesed by fairy rings, but if u usually take a gem with you on task you dont need the dramen staff. I normally don't use a ring on task so i use my ring there for an extra item space. I havent done the quest so idk the part about tarns lair. HexiledRazz
I suggest spending points on runes. And, in case you ever want to block a task, keep enough points for that. Hexiled Razz. Player since March 8th, 2005.
cat666
Blocking tasks is worth it. The only one that really is a must is steel dragons. You get 50 at a time, there's only 3-4 spawns per world and you get hassle from the irons. I also blocked irons as they are so slow XP. My other 2 bans are Skelly Wyverns and Warped Terrorbirds as they are too much hassle for me. Slayer ring crafting is nice. Fastest tele to a slayer ring (Relleka Cave), fastest tele to the popular slayer tower and a fast tele to the desert. Oh and the desert place has a room packed with abby spectres. Fletching isn't essential. You can profit from this but it is minor, better off sticking to bows. I would buy it just for the sake of completion. If Jagex make a quest which requires this, your a step behind the pack. After that slayer dart runes all the time. The points soon rack up and you get lots of expensive death runes. I'd say it nets me about 2mil extra income a month. Never buy the XP. It's only really worth one task. Trust the Gene Genie!

Guthans hits too slow, I just bring a whip/def, super pot and some cheap food. Sometimes have to bank, but only cos I get full of gems. Not worth a skip though. Trust the Gene Genie!
