Althalus
Homework helps in that it takes the knowledge you gain in school and applies it some sense. Knowing about a topic is only the first level of learning. Check out Bloom's Taxonomy it really helps you understand how well you understand material you learn in school. The higher up you go the more likely you'll do well. http://www.esf.edu/erfeg/endreny/course ... wledge.htm
The_Gabe
I hate homework, but I do every piece of it I get. My parents would kill me if I didn't do it, and it would hurt my grades a lot. Usually, I do a lot of my homework at school (homeroom, etc) so it doesn't really bother me too much. Three months banishment to 9gag is something i would never wish upon anybody, not even my worst enemy.
Madmanpur3
I did all of my homework in high school (never at home though, always between classes, during classes, or study hall), and I do maybe 10% of the homework I get assigned now at college. Once you get to college most homework isn't handed in so it just comes down to whether or not you feel comfortable with how well you understand the material. pureprayer
If a teacher makes you do homework they can just die . I had a teacher that made me do homework and everyone hated her. Pureprayer, you're awesome.
warri0r45
Homework can be great, provided it's tageted at learning what you need to know. It's a fact that the more times you revise something, the better you remember it. You may not appreciate it now, but it really is for your own good. Returned3
This past week has been a wonderful holiday and I've got a weekload of undone homework. They have to be handed in starting on Monday. Any advice? 00:00:0500:00:0400:00:0300:00:0200:00:0100:00:00 Break the Walls down!

deathdrow
I never do my homework. It's such a pain to have to get it out, and get a pencil, and all the right stuff. I really should start doing it though. it's worth about 30% of my overall marks in all my classes.
SHIPPOU
Just wait until you get to college ... There is a LOT more work, and most of it you have to do on your own. If you don't get into good study habits now, gods help you later in life when you need to learn advanced material . ********** One of the old guard of RS. IGoddessI
I believe in homework if it's actually teaching you something. I lost count how many times in primary school I had to take something home that was bloody pointless and time consuming. And then getting punished (picking up rubbish at lunch time) because it wasn't done. I did kind of deserve it though, despite being one of 3 kids who was being taught mathematics and linguistics with the principal instead of with the rest of the class, I've always had a mouth on me and wouldn't do something unless I believed it would be somehow beneficial. For example, one time I had to make a star sign advertisement for English and I didn't hand it in because 1. I thought star signs were a crock of [cabbage] and 2. I wasn't planning to be in marketing or real estate :D The only people who tell you that you can't do something are those who have already given up on their own dreams so feel the need to discourage yours.
