March 29, 200917 yr I was wondering if any TIFers were fans of the dubstep genre? I quite like it, myself, and my interest in it has been slowly growing for some time. [yt]jhebbWDpciU[/yt] [yt]bmW_r3XK2HA[/yt] A few good songs by notable dubstep artists. Dubstep is a genre of electronic music that has its roots in London's early 2000s UK garage scene. Musically, dubstep is distinguished by its dark mood, sparse rhythms, and emphasis on bass. Dubstep started to spread beyond small local scenes in late 2005 and early 2006, with many websites devoted to the genre appearing on the Internet and thus aiding the growth of the scene, such as dubstepforum, the download site Barefiles and blogs such as gutterbreakz.[1] Simultaneously, the genre was receiving extensive coverage in music magazines such as The Wire and online publications such as Pitchfork Media, with a regular feature entitled The Month In: Grime/Dubstep. Interest in dubstep grew significantly after BBC Radio 1 DJ Mary Anne Hobbs started championing the genre, beginning with a show devoted to it (entitled "Dubstep Warz") in January 2006.[2][3][4] When every man is torn apartWith nightmares and with dreamsWill no one lay the laurel wreathWhen silence drowns the screams?

March 29, 200917 yr It kinda has a gritty feel to it that I usually like. It does get old after a while, but its still good. We should euthanize anyone who lacks the capability to contribute to society in any way. Please don't elect this man for president in 2012

March 30, 200917 yr I like this, slightly tedious. Interesting and unique sounds. Generally I like anything I like in terms of music (if you know what I mean) As in I don't like paticular bands, or a specific genre neither am I faithful to a certain artist - I just like songs with a good tune - and which I like.

April 7, 200917 yr I've liked the stuff for quite some time. I prefer the side edging towards drum and bass, than the side going towards it's afro-reggae roots. If you like dubstep it's worth giving Mary Anne Hobbs a listen to, and there's a fair amount in there, mixed in with basic experimental stuff. I recommened Benga, Rusko, Hudson Mohawke, and Casper. But in general it's moderately hard to find being underground, unless you go out looking for it in clubs and stuff. Quit Runescape 30th May 2006.Thanks to Hawkxs for my signature :)
