Waterfiends or Slayer for charms?

Featured Replies

I want to get 70 summoning and I wanted to know what should I kill for the charms. I was thinking about waterfiends but im unsure about whether my stats are good enough.

I was also thinking about doing slayer. Which do you think would get me to 70 summoning fastest?

Do slayer till you get 68 summon, then do waterfiends.

How long would it take if I was using sumona to get 70?

No one can give you an exact amount of time, even a round about guess would be hard, but I can tell you this, Duradel's tasks are better charm droppers than Summona's.

It will take you longer doing slayer to get 70 summoning, but in your case, I think it would be worth it, since your melee levels are a little lower than the waterfiend "minimum".

Apparently, my signature was to big.

Slayer's only good if you want slayer xp. Black demons are a good one.

Ah, this reminds me about the noob on the Runescape forums who was upset with the quest "Cold War" because apparently his grandparents died in the war. :wall:

I did waterfiends near his stats and I was fine. Made (a little) profit and it was fast(er then slayer).

I say fiends.

Pureprayer, you're awesome.

Slayer all the way. You're going to train your Combat Skills with it, most likely. Might as well train seven Skills together and get Charms than get Charms *somewhat* faster and train two Skills at once.

SLAYER!

slayer's worth it, in my opinion, if you ever plan on getting 99 slayer. 99 slayer approximately earns 99 summoning (just a little less) so if you spend a lot of time gathering charms, there will be a day where you have tons of extra charms at 99 summoning due to slayer with nothing good to do with them.

Slayer is like training on controlled.

You get some exp in various skills, the total is about equal to other methods but more varied.

I would stick with penguins, lamps and charms from slayer until 68 as its tough going without a bunyip or better there.

Slayer has annoying slow charm rate, most of which are golds and greens: so only do slayer if you wanted to level it anyway.

Waterfiends are the best.

No. I have an equal amount of crimsons and golds after doing slayer for a long long time. And I have used crimsons to level summoning until now. So technically I had more crimsons than golds.

So crimsons > golds > greens > blues.

An easy monster for crimsons are greater demons. Maybe the drop rate is slightly lower than black demons, but they are so easy to kill (if wild dogs don't bother you, or the crowds).

Black demons are even easier. No wild dogs, fairly popular but competition shouldn't be a problem, and a much higher xp rate to boot.
